After Hikaru left, I texted Natsume and told him I was returning to the Sunrise Residence for a bit as most of my younger siblings would be home from school by now. I took a taxi so Masaomi wouldn't yell at me for trying to walk. My leg was still sore and didn't take kindly to me putting too much weight on it. Over the past few months, I'd gone through enough bandages to start my own mummy army with all the injuries I'd been sustaining of late and the burn on my arm that still had to be kept bandaged to avoid infection.
As I hopped out of the taxi, I spotted Ukyo in the alley next to the apartment talking to some guy who clearly looked upset and slightly out of his mind. I hopped into the alley without either of them noticing. The guy appeared to be upset about a trial and blamed Ukyo. Ukyo was surprisingly calm and trying to talk the guy down, his bright blue eyes flicked in my direction and grew wide just as the guy lumbered forward to take a swing at Ukyo with a concealed knife.
My body moved on autopilot, ignoring the pain in my leg I darted forward catching the assailant by the wrist applying pressure to a pressure point causing him to drop his blade before bending his wrist back in one fluid motion. I pressed the tip of my thumb nail into a pressure point on his palm causing the man to let out a gasp of pain and drop to his knees as they gave out beneath him.
"You okay?" I asked the now somewhat shell-shocked Ukyo. His gaze glued to the bandages on my leg as blood steadily began to soak through. I'd ripped a few stitches.
"Who the hell are you?"
"The bodyguard, now shut the fuck up." I growled at the man before turning back to Ukyo, "So cops or should I just stand here and hold him until you get inside?"
Ukyo snapped out of his daze, "No, I don't think the police will be necessary. He's just upset and needs a minute to calm himself and think rationally."
"He did just try to knife you in an alley..." I shot.
"Luckily my little sister was here to intervene." Ukyo offered me an easy going smile as he adjusted his glasses, "I think you can let him go now."
I looked down to the man to find him slumped forward in defeat his head hanging low, "Fine, but I'm throwing it out there now, if you try to hurt him again you'll never use your hands again and you'll be eating the rest of your meals through a straw for the rest of your life, understood?"
"Please understand, I tried everything I could, we didn't have enough evidence to get through his ironclad defense. If you find any more evidence against him, I will gladly help you." Ukyo attempted to comfort the man. "I'm truly sorry I couldn't do more-."
"What the hell happened?" I folded my arms across my chest and shifted my weight to ease up off my injured leg as I felt the blood begin to seep closer to my ankle.
"Some creep has been harassing my sister, he's a hotshot CEO and has everyone in his pocket. He sends her threatening letters, but they're all hand delivered and contain no DNA. She turned him down and he has made it his personal mission to make her live in fear for the rest of her life." The man choked.
"That's fucked up. What about the police surely they would have posted someone to stand guard for at least a 24-hour surveillance and been able to see something."
"They're in his pocket. I'm just scared he's going to hurt her." The man sobbed.
Ukyo looked devastated, he really wanted to help the man. I groaned as an idea popped into my head, I was going to regret this. "Give me her address and a picture, I can make sure she has some bodyguards if that creep tries anything."
