As a person who enjoys historical romance extremely, this story was like a treat for me.
I've always enjoyed reading about lords and ladies and what all goes with them, about balls and about gowns and about pretty much everything that revolves around them.
And to say the least, this story quenched all my thirst.
It is exceptionally good. I literally have no words to explain it.
It's historical on top of which it's based in a dystopian world which is like cherry on top.
The narration is so on point that you'll be able to see it in front of your eyes as you read it.
All the characters though there is a big lot of them are important, some more than the others.
Especially if you consider the twins(which they're not).
But even amongst all the chaos you'll be able to relate, though set up in a very different place, it will not seize to give us familiar vibe. You'll feel that at some point or another you've one through the same phase these people are passing from.
But apart from all these things what you'll really enjoy is the love. The romantic tale of a witch and her beast. Quite a pair if you ask me.
You'll laugh, cry, love but all in all you'll feel.
The author accomplishes her goal of reaching across and touching our hearts with the kind of stories she's written.
After reading this I actually wished to be able to live the lives of her characters. It's that beautiful.

I seriously hope you read this book, cause you'll be missing a whole new level if you decide not to.
