When I was little,
I thought I could hold the world in the palm of my hands.
I thought I could conquer the little things
and face the bad with an iron fist.
When I was little,
I'd thought I was the center of my parents world.
I had wanted to be a ballerina,
I thought I could be a cowgirl.
When I was little,
It was easy to be who I really was.
But now that I'm older,
I can't help but wonder,
When I was little,
What in the world was I thinking when I said I wanted to grow up?
