"I was wondering, have you ever ran into a man named Count Olaf?" Klaus asked, "No, but we found this next to Uncle Monty," Luna took out the note from her pocket and showed it to Klaus, "Count Olaf killed Monty." Klaus read with his voice trembling, "So you guys know this Count Olaf?" Quigley asked, "Yes, he was our guardian and he tried to marry me, to get our fortune." Violet explained, "He was going to kill Sunny by dropping her from a tower, and struck Klaus across his face." Violet said, Luna, looked at Klaus and said, "I think I can help the bruise, I just need some hot, wet towels." , "Thank you." Klaus said smiling. "So what has happened with you?" Violet asked, "We lost our parents in a fire as well, and both our sibling Duncan and Isadora got out but we were shoved down an underground tunnel," Quigley started, " the tunnel had names like Montgomery, Widdershins, Quagmire, Ellington, and Baudelaire, then Monty took us in." Luna finished, "Our parents and Monty had to have known each other." Klaus said, "I have a feeling there's a lot of things we don't know," Violet said, "Yet." Luna added, "Ah, here we are." Mr. Poe said, "Momento Mori?" Luna and Violet said, "What does that mean?" Violet asked, "It's Latin," Quigley said, "Remeber you will die." Klaus says, "The school's motto is "Remeber you will die?" Luna asked, "I guess so." Violet said. the five children entered the room where they were told to sit down, the Baudelaires got called in first, "Quigley," Luna started, "I miss Mom and Dad." She finished, "we all do," Quigley started but was rudely interrupted by a man with one eyebrow and a ghastly tattoo of an eye on his ankle, "Well, well, well if it isn't Quigley Quagmire and Luna Ellington, I thought I had killed you in the fire." The man said, "Who are you?" Quigley asked, "I am the famous actor Count Olaf." Olaf said Luna cleared her throat, "I think you mean Count Olaf; a murderous felon that has nothing else to do but chase poor children around for their fortunes." Luna said, "I'm sorry I only understood the "fortune" part." Count Olaf said. "Any way you two are coming with me!" Count Olaf said, grabbing the children, and pulling a knife out of his pocket the children followed Olaf into his dirty, old car. "We'll never see Isadora and Duncan!" Luna said, "I know, but maybe the Baudelaires will tell them were still alive and well." Quigley replied, "What's this?" Luna said pulling out a book from under the seat, "The Incomplete History of Secret Organizations?" Quigley asked Luna, they opened the book and found a photo, the photo was labeled, "Mr. and Mrs. Ellington." Quigley said, "Mr. and Mrs. Baudelaire." Luna said, "And Mr. and Mrs. Quagmire." Luna and Quigley said, "Here take the photo." Luna said turning the page as she handed the photo, "V.F.D?" She asked. Quigley turned his head and looked at the paper and read, "Volunteer Fire Department." He said. "Oh, I'll take that," Olaf said smirking.  

Back in the school, the Baudelaires had found the other Quagmires. "Are you, Isadora and Duncan?" Klaus asked, "Yes, we are." Isadora said, "Do you know any siblings called, Quigley and Luna?" Violet asked, "Their our siblings but they died–" Duncan started but was cut off by Sunny's babbling, "Caroo." she said which meant something like, "They are alive, but we kind of lost them..". Isadora and Duncan understood baby talk, the Baudelaires and the Quagmire at lunch and talked everything over, while Quigley and Luna were just getting farther away in the back of Count Olaf's car.
