I sat in the passenger seat of Alpha Vincent's black SUV. It wasn't uncomfortable physically. The seats were black leather and softer than my bed back home.
Home. I began to wonder what my family was doing right now. What was Jenna doing? Knowing her, she was probably wasting away in her room.
It made me feel guilty to think about my best friend wasting away. I silently prayed to the Moon Goddess to send her mate her way.
Goddess knows how much she'll need him.
"Do you hate me?" Vincent asked me catching me off guard.
"What? No!" I reply quickly. "It's just. I don't know."
Vincent looked deep in thought so I left him to that when he said. "You know, I don't like taking you from your family. When I found you in the crowd you looked so scared and vulnerable that I just wanted to protect you."
I looked at him. "Really? I thought you would reject me. I'm just Diana. Not Luna Material."
Vincent chuckled softly. "No one is Luna or Alpha Material at first. You have to make yourself Luna it Alpha material. Give yourself a rep."
I pondered his words. He seemed to be talking about himself and me.
