After a little while, I drift off and my mind begins swirling with dreams.

First, I'm on the back of Atlas' motorcycle, racing through the forest at high speed. Suddenly the bike goes haywire, sending us flying through the air.

We land on a cloud, laying right beside one another. Atlas turns to face me and I look over at his steel eyes and perfect smile. He looks so beautiful when he smiles. Atlas reaches out with one hand and gently pulls my face in close. I close my eyes and feel his soft lips against mine.

Then I open my eyes and Atlas has been replaced by Castiel. He sneers and then lashes out at me, ripping me back beneath the clouds.

I scream as I fall, down, down, through the sky. But then someone grabs my hand and pulls me back into his chest, and then I'm okay. We fall together. Me rapped in Atlas' arms.

My eyelids flutter open and I find myself in a similar position: rapped in Atlas' arms. Only this time we're on solid ground, laying back inside the cave.

I jolt up, suddenly realizing the intimacy of it all. Outside I can hear the steady drumbeat of rain falling. He must've brought me in when the rain began. My clothes are slightly damp so he must not have checked on me right away. That's probably why he stayed so close. Body heat. That's all.

Behind me, I hear Atlas shift as he wakes up. He lays a hand on my shoulder and I refuse to face him, worried he'll see the rosy blush creeping into my cheeks.

I stand up and walk to the other side of the vast space before I can actually look at him. God I wish he'd smile more. The longer I watch him, the more I realize that my gaze keeps shifting from his eyes, to his lips.

No, Aurelia. You're in love with Castiel. There's nothing between you and this Incompatible.

I shake my head and avoid eye contact.

"Good morning to you to." He mutters groggily. "Or rather, good night. The sun's down again."

"Great, so we just lost another day we could have spent traveling." I snap. It's also been a little over forty eight hours since I've last eaten and I haven't even thought about food. Until now. My stomach growls.

"I'll be right back with something to cook."

He returns almost an hour or so later—soaking wet and shirtless—with the limp body of a rabbit. I wince at the sight of the poor creature but I allow Atlas to prepare it. Meanwhile, I try to keep my eyes off of his toned abs and chest.

Bad Aurelia.

Atlas glances over with a quizzical look.

"What's up?" He asks, hesitantly. "Why're you staring at me?"

I feel the temperature of my face rise a few degrees and quickly look away.

"N-nothing." I sit down on the ground and I hear his footsteps close in. He sits beside me and offers me a cooked rabbit leg that I don't immediately grab.

"You're being weird. Weirder than normal." I reluctantly meet his gaze and for the slimmest moment I see something there. Something that terrifies me.

I avert my eyes and Atlas scoots closed to me.

"Atlas, I—"

"Stop." I snap my attention to him when he cuts me off.

"What?" Atlas shakes his head.

"Just don't. Okay?"

"Don't what?"

"Don't tell me you're going to run back to your prissy little kingdom. Don't tell me you're just gonna throw on a damn wedding dress and forget this whole 'journey to self-righteousness." The harshness of his words leaves me speechless.
