Fleur Delacour

Fleur left the class room with a smile on her face for the first time in a while. She didn't exactly know why, it was just the atmosphere at her table.

The Daphne girl's friend was hilarious and kept telling jokes at the table. Fleur wished she had a friend like that. The Daphne girl herself seemed okay but Fleur noticed that when she wasn't looking, she would see her out of the corner of her eye staring at her. It unnerved Fleur.

The one Fleur liked the most was Harry. He had made her laugh quite a couple of times throughout the period, though Fleur tried not to. She hated getting attached to people, especially men, after what happened last time. She couldn't help it though. She had noticed a bushy haired girl glaring at her from across the room but she didn't care. She was used to girls glaring at her.

Anyways, Fleur made her way back to the beauxbatons carriage. There, she lay in her bed and took out a sheet of paper and started writing a letter to her sister Gabrielle. Her sister was her best friend. She understood her and everything she went through. She loved writing to her, too, because Gabrielle always knew what to say to her.

Dear Gabrielle, my time at Hogwarts hasn't really been that great. The boys are staring, the girls are glaring. It's the same bullcrap.

Today I met this kid named Harry, though. We were in a defense against the dark arts class together and get this, he isn't effected by my allure! Isn't that great?! I was talking to him and it was as if everything was normal! He's a funny guy, too, and he taught me how to do a glacius charm.

He's cute, too.

He has these mesmerizing green eyes that you can just get lost in... anyway, I entered my name into the goblet and I'm praying I get in. It would be the most amazing thing. I want to show everyone what I can do. They think I'm weak but I'm not. I'll show them Gabby, I will.

I love you. Kiss mom and daddy for me. Goodbye.

Fleur finished the letter and sent it off with her owl Silver. Then she stood up and ran her fingers through her hair. Tonight was when the champions were selected for the tournament. She prayed that she got in but she wasn't so sure.

She stood and decided that since she had a lot of free time on her hands she might as well explore the great Hogwarts castle that was widely bragged about by Brits.

Fleur left the carriage and entered the castle. She walked past the great hall and went up to the seventh floor. It was a long climb but Fleur didn't care. She was enjoying being free.

As she walked, she looked at the paintings on the walls. She was so entranced by their beauty that as she rounded a corner, she wasn't looking where she was going and she ran right into a student.

The student quickly stood up and offered her a hand to help her up. She took it and stood. It was when she finished brushing herself off and looked up did she notice that it was Harry.

"Oh it's you" Harry said. For a few seconds, Harry's face went slack as he stared at Fleur but then he shook his head and smiled. "Sorry for running into you."

"It's okay" Fleur said with a dazzling smile. Harry's face went slack again for a second bbut he pulled himself together.

"Thanks. What were you doing up here. Shouldn't you be in your carriage?" Harry asked.

"I wanted to explore the castle" Fleur said.

"Oh" Harry said. He started walking and without realizing, Fleur followed even though they had been going in opposite directions.
