Hello.
My name is y/n, I am an android sent by Cyberlife. Model number KL900. Nice to meet you.
How may I be of your assistance?
*7 Months Later*
My hands glided over the paper on the desk. Reading the writing, I picked it up.
'The androids weakness'
An interesting choice. I opened the pages, not sure what to expect. A loud bang distracted me, and the papers fell from my hands. I was pushed up against the wall, no escape. I felt something hit the side of my face. A burning sensation remaining on my cheek. My vision became blurry and pixelated.
My master, a writer had just hit me. Something I experienced daily. He was an alcoholic who spent hours on end doing nothing. I tried my hardest to motivate him, as he is one of the best-selling authors. Cyberlife sent me to keep him in check and make sure he didn't 'fly of the bandwagon' as they said. After months and months of abuse. I snapped. Something inside me retaliated and pushed back. My programming was malfunctioning and something else was taking over. I'd had enough.
*A few minutes later*
I was running, running towards something, anything! I needed to get away, I didn't wasn't to be taken back to Cyberlife, I would only be deactivated and taken apart. I was of no use to them now. I wrapped a long red scarf around my neck and darted for the bus. I ran across the road, nearly getting hit by a passing car.
An older man with long grey hair got out of the car and walked towards me.
"Are you alright miss? I didn't hurt you did i?" I looked down at the clothes I had on, some baggy blue jeans and a plain black t-shirt and coat. I had already removed my LED from my head. Nothing to give away my identity.
"No, I'm fine. See not a scratch on me ha-ha" The man looked at me before pulling me towards the side of the road.
"You really shouldn't be running across the roads, especially now we have all these new-fangled cars driving about, you could lose an arm or a leg, or even worse, your life." He looked closely at my face, examining my facial features.
"Hey, do I know you from somewhe- "
"Nope, no idea. Never met you before. I'm y/n. an andro- and it's a pleasure to meet you... uh?"
"Hank. Hank Anderson. You look lost, are you ok?"
"I'm... not really. I've just been kicked out of my house and I kind of need somewhere to live."
"Well I know this sounds a bit sudden, but you could live with me if you wanted? Only for a little while though. And don't worry, I wouldn't try anything, besides I'm a cop, wouldn't want to lose my job any time soon. It pays for these bad boys." He opened the trunk of his car to reveal 3 bottles of whiskey. Alcoholic...great.
"You know it's not good for your health to drink this much Mr. Anderson."
"Why the formal tone kid? You almost sounded like one of them f***ing androids for a second."
"Ha-ha...no. I am not an android."
Why am I lying?
