After I changed into the jumper Hank had given to me. I walked out of the locker room and towards Hanks desk, as I looked up I saw that both Hank and Connor were not at their desk. I looked around to try and find them. I couldn't find them, so I asked Gavin, he said that the captain was having a private talk to them regarding the investigation. Why wasn't I involved? I was part of the investigation...

I sat at my desk continuing to do some of the paperwork that had been dumped on my desk by other officers. It took a few minutes for Hank to come storming out of the office. He didn't look too happy, so I didn't bother with asking what was wrong. Connor came walking out afterwards, he looked almost confused, his LED flashing yellow as he watched Hank sit down at his desk.

Seeing Hank in such a bad mood upset me. I hated to see him upset, but there wasn't anything I could do to cheer him up, just be there for him when he needed me to be, which recently, was often. Connor walked over to me.

"Hello y/n."

"Why hello again Connor. What do you need now?"

"I was wondering if you could tell me why Hank hates androids so much. I thought that you might know the answer."

"Well yes, I do know. But I made a promise to Hank that I wouldn't tell anyone, unless they needed to know, and at this moment in time, you do not need to know." Connor looked almost shocked at my words. But never the less, he simply nodded his head and went back over to Hank. They spoke for a while, presumably Connor was trying to find out some new information on Hank. One question in particular caught my attention.

"Is there any particular reason you despise me?"

"Yeah... There is one..." Hank kept himself focused on his work, meanwhile Connor was staring at Hank, waiting for him to continue. I couldn't help but giggle at his expression when he realised he wasn't going to get a response. Connor must have heard me laugh, because he turned towards me with that same confused expression on his face that he always wore. I instantly shut up and quickly turned back to my paperwork, making it seem like I wasn't paying attention. I think Connor could tell I was faking it.

Within minutes, the captain came out of his office and called me inside.

"Y/n. As you already know, we now have an android working on the deviant cases with you and Lieutenant Anderson."

"Connor? Yes I've met him."

"I want you to know that if that android does anything to upset or hurt you, that you can file a complaint and we will try to do something about it. I don't trust them myself, so if anything does happen, I've got your back and so does the rest of the station."

"Thank you sir. But I've had no problems so far with Connor, he seems to be a very well behaved person. I know he's a machine, but I trust him completely, especially after everything he's done for me over these past few days."

"You do realise it's a machine and can't simulate emotions, right?"

"Yes sir. But I also know that androids adapt to their situations, so either way, android or not, he's been a big help to me."

"Okay y/n. I'll trust you know what you're doing and let you get on with it."

"Thank you sir. Enjoy your day sir." He rolled his eyes as he stiffled a laugh. I don't understand why everyone has such a negative reaction towards us androids. I guess people are scared of change, or something new that they don't understand. I wonder if it's always been this way?
