17 - Future or Past?

My eyes shot open, only to find myself still in my room. Hank and Connor were still asleep and Sumo was asleep by Hank's side. I made my way into the living room to see Connor asleep on the sofa. His figure didn't budge an inch when I sat next to him.

"Connor?" His eyes began to flicker beneath his eyelids, slight movement visible on his face.

"Yes y/n?"

"What do you think you'd be like if you were human? Do you think you'd live a normal life, have a good job, have a family?"

"I'm not sure what you mean. But I'm guessing that you mean if I had a childhood?"

"Yeah kinda"

"I guess I would have had a loving family growing up. At least I hope. And in regards to my future. I don't know, maybe I could have had a family, kids of my own and a very stable job. If I was similar, at least to how I am now, then probably an officer. Who knows, maybe the lieutenant may even be a good friend of mine instead of just being a colleague."

"He likes you Connor. He may not admit it but he does care about you. But what you just said was lovely."

"Would you want the same thing for yourself?" He looked deeply into my eyes and held my hand. He had been sitting patiently next to me waiting for my answer.

I remember the dream I had just had. If androids can dream. Could I have had a life with Connor if we were human? I don't know. But just the thought of it made me smile.

"Judging by your face, that's a yes." He leaned towards me and layed his head on my shoulder. I could feel the warmth from his body pressed up against mine. I told him to lift his head so I could rest on him instead. He insisted on getting me a blanket and wrapping me up. I decided to go to my room and get a blanket for him. I got the biggest blanket I could find and wrapped it around Connor to make him look like a little android burrito. He looked adorable.

We both laid our heads on the sofa and fell asleep in each others arms. I hoped that we woke up before Hank because I was not ready for his teasing if he caught us. Hopefully he doesn't find out about me and Connor. At least not yet.

Hello everyone!!!

I know I haven't posted in a while, but I decided to write a short chapter for you. I am trying to write more chapters but with my new schedule it's difficult to do much writing.
