I AM ALIVE (Connor X Reader Fanfiction)

11 - Run

I awoke to see Connor and Hank standing outside the car, they seemed to be talking to another officer about the investigation. I not quite sure why I came with them, considering there isn't any evidence to collect.

Connor began to search the area, but kept looking back at the car. I decided that maybe it was better for me to be outside the car, and besides I couldn't bare to listen to Knights of the Black Death any longer. I approached Hank and asked him what was happening,

Apparently they were searching for the AX400 android that had attacked and escaped its owner. Unfortunately I couldn't find it during my surveillance of the area. All of a sudden I saw Connor run out of an old abandoned building. He seemed to be chasing after the androids we were searching for. I would have gone after them but I thought it would be better for me to rescan the area to see if there was anything else to find. A few minutes later, Connor and Hank came walking out of an alleyway a few streets away. Connor looked annoyed, as did Hank, but he was better at hiding it, which was weird, considering Connor is the one who shouldn't be showing emotions.

Connor simply walked back over to the car and proceeded to open the backseat door. He looked at me, as did Hank.

"You coming kid?"

"What? Uh... Yeah." I walked over to Connor and placed a hand on his shoulder. "Are you okay Connor?" He nodded at me and let me get into the car before him. Connor then chose to sit next to me, so he could talk to me a bit more privately. He placed his hand on top of mine and began to talk to me telepathically.

"I didn't catch the AX400. There was a little girl with it, I tried to chase after them, but there was a fence at the end of the alley. They climbed it and ran across the motorway. I went to climb over but Lieutenant Anderson stopped me. I don't feel satisfied with myself, I could have stopped them."

"Connor... You can't catch every criminal or android that gets in your way. You said it has a little girl with it. Maybe it was a good thing you didn't catch them. It was probably for the best. And Connor, are you starting to feel thi-"

"I'm not a deviant!"

"If you say so." I held his hand and interlocked our fingers. I looked up at Connor who's face was beginning to turn a light shade of blue. It's too easy to tease him. Resting my head on his shoulder we sat in silence, a smile residing on my face.

*Hank's P.O.V.*

As I began to drive away from the investigation I looked into the back of the car to see Connor's hand on top of y/n's. They really are cute together. I guess you could say I ship them. That's what all the cool kids say right?

Y/n looked up at Connor before interlocking their fingers. A smile evident on her face. Connor began to turn a light shade of blue. Was he blushing?

I tried to hold in my squeals and laughter as I watched the two in the back of my car. Is it wrong of me to think that Connor isn't actually that bad. Maybe I was wrong about these androids, maybe I should give them a second chance.

Either way, I'm still gonna do my job, and try to support Connor and y/n throughout their time together. I'd hate to see them get hurt...

Sorry about the late update, I really hope you enjoy this short chapter. My life's been a bit hectic lately and I've not been able to think straight and concentrate on anything. Plus I always feel the need to write when I'm on the bus, and right now, you guessed it! I'm on the bus on my way to work lol!!!
