12 - Day Off

*Y/n P.O.V.*

So today is my day off, and I have to say, I'm loving it!!!

So far I've got to spend the whole day with Connor and Hank. Oh! Sumo as well. Since the office has been pretty calm today, the captain told us we could take the day off to think about the case and patrol the surrounding areas. So, we basically just went to the park to have a picnic and play with Sumo.

I sat on the grass watching Hank run around after Sumo, he seemed to be enjoying himself. Sumo that is. Hank on the other hand was so warn out, you could practically see the veins popping out of his head, like a pot of water that's been on the stove for too long.

Connor and I were sitting on the grass. I'd chosen to lay down and just enjoy the warm summer breeze, Connor sitting just behind me, my head resting on his lap.

Connor's hand cautiously placed itself on my head and began to play with my hair. It was a nice feeling, made me feel safe and cozy. Connor naturally made me feel this way. The stoic but goofy look on his face always made me want to giggle like a little school girl, his shoulders were broad, his hold on me would always be firm, but gentle. I liked the way he made me feel. Even if Androids aren't meant to feel emotions, there was no denying that I adored his company.

I wonder if he will go deviant... Like did... All those years ago...

*Third person P.O.V.*

Connor could tell her stress levels were increasing. Slowly, but still noticeable.

Without thinking, his hand found its way to hers, interlocking their fingers together. The warmth of both their blue blood radiated off of them. Y/n looked up at Connor, his eyes never left hers, as he placed a gentle kiss on her forehead.

Y/n quickly tried to hide her face, embarrassment clearly visible on her face. Also so that hotheaded Hank didn't see her blue cheeks.

"Y/n?"

"Connor."

"That is my name. Can I ask you something?"

"Technically you just did, but go on."

"Why did your stress levels just increase?"

"Um... Did they?"

"Yes. Just before I held your hand."

"I guess I'm just a bit sensitive today."

"But you're deviant. So doesn't that mean you're always sensitive?"

"Hey! I am not! Besides, does it really matter if I am deviant?"

"Well, yes. Androids are not built to show human emotions. So why do you?"

"I don't know..."

The memories came flooding back to her. Him. His hands. The way he-

"Hey, don't worry about it. If you don't want to tell me, I'll wait. Take your time. I won't rush you."

A single tear began to fall from her eyes. She sat up and wrapped her arms around Connor's shoulders, burying her face into his neck. Connor wrapped his arms around her, unknown to them, Hank and Sumo had been watching the whole thing from the other side of the park.

*Hank P.O.V.*

Sumo slow down! I can't ran that fast anymore. It's bad enough having to do it for work, let alone when I wanna rest.

As I slowly caught my breath I looked over to see Connor and y/n. They looked so calm and relaxed, and for an android like Connor, that's almost impossible. I know that Androids aren't meant to be like a human, or treated like one...

But how could I turn my back on y/n like that...

She is an android after all...

Hey friends!

I'm so sorry I haven't updated in ages. Life's been a bit busy lately. What with two jobs and no time off, it makes it so difficult to upload! I will try to update more frequently though...
