Noah stepped
out onto the stage with the other dancers in his quartet. Angela had decided to keep the costumes fairly simple so the true grandure of the dance could shine through. Piper and Angela watched nervously from the wings, all the could do was just hope that they win.
The music started and the dance did too, Noah and the Gemini dancer were the main focus of the piece given their inter nationals history. The audience seemed very supportive of the dance that was being performed, the judges seemed to like it to, but they could not be obnoxious.
Noah (Contemporary Dancer) POV -
As I'm dancing. I feel great, I can remember what it is like to dance on this stage from when I hurt my back last time and to know I'm doing well this time is so amazing. I just hope that all of the other dancers pull through too.
Piper (Contemporary Dancer) POV -
I'm so proud of Noah. Knowing that after this dance you are going to be out as your an alternate is really hard. But he's putting his personal thoughts aside, for the good of the team and that is some thing I really admire about him.
Anglea (Studio Head / Fixer) POV -
Noah is dancing well. But that is not enough, all of the other dancers have to be at the same level inorder for us to get the highest scores in the competition. But im confident that we will do it.
Noah (Contemporary Dancer) POV -
As the dance ends. I feel amazing, I just hope it was enough to get The Next Step to Regionals.
'Quartet 16 scores 93 points, that puts them in second place'
Noah ran back to the wings to anglea and Piper who were both smiling at that score. "Noah well done!" Piper said, she embraced him into a hug. "Second place is amazing we'll get into Regionals for sure!" She smiled excitedly. But anglea did not want to get to excitable. "Don't get too ahead of yourself, there are 4 more teams to perform. We could easily loose our spot!"
Angela (Studio Head/Fixer) POV -
There is still every chance that we could get bumped down to 5th place or even worse! My other team is in quartet 18. I want both them and the next step to make it through or my reputation as the Fixer could be in tatters!
THE NEXT STEP - STUDIO ONE/HALLS
Jacquie (Contemporary Dancer) POV -
I was just coming back from studio one after practising a solo and I hear some noises from the locker room. I hope it is nothig serious I have no way to protect myself or anything. I'll have to dance my way through this and kick them into next week.
"Hello... Is anyone there?" Jacquie called out. She could now see a tall figure in the locker room standing up tall to the ceiling.
She walked nervously into the room, but only to be greeted by the CCTV man. "Oh hello I thought you are someone else. What are you doing?"
"Me? The studio head called me into fix the CCTV in here. It went wrong last week" he responded, Jacquie dismmised the whole thought of it from her mind and left the man to do his job. But then some thing snapped in her mind, "there was CCTV in here? Can you look at past recordings on the laptop?" Jacquie asked, remembering something her sister told her.
