Almost six moons old and getting restless," I'm gonna get you!" I squeaked"Get off me you great lump!" yelped Feather.
Feather, a light grey she-cat with light green eyes and also my sister, rolled over and crushed me under her dusty body. I yelped in surprise and I kick her off of me.
"Will you two mess around somewhere else!" Snarled Pepper, a broad shouldered, spotted-grey tom.
I could feel my soft dappled-grey pelt lifting up on my spine, my emerald green eyes blazing up with anger,
" And who put you in charge, Pepper?" I questioned indignantly, he padded up to me his hazel eyes lit up with anger. I could feel his breath on my muzzle, I could hear Feather gasp and back away slowly. My breath quickened and all I could think of was why I chose to pick a fight with my brother, she knew he had the same strength, broad shoulders and hazel eyes like our father, Stone. Before he could take a step closer to me our mother Fern, a dark-grey she-cat with blazing green eyes. Our father's black pelt came between the both of us.
"Now kits what's the..." Fern said in a soft voice
"Mint told me I wasn't in charge" Pepper firmly finished his mother's question. "Well, you aren't" I growled. I instantly regretted what I meowed out loud, this made pepper even more furious than before.
"I'm the..."
"Shush my dear, Mint never meant that, she just wanted to play with Feather" Fern smoothly stated. Pepper looked at me and gave me one last glare, then looked to Fern and Stone "I'll be in the nursery, I'll see if Violet needs a drink or some prey" he meowed thoughtfully. It was very nice of Pepper to think of Violet. The black and white queen was very close to kitting Minnow's kits. Once I saw Pepper pad away to the nursery. I turned to Fern and Stone.
"How did you know that I and Pepper were fighting?" I questioned. "It wasn't us who knew" Stone spoke up. He then turned and I saw Feather standing with her ears flat and her eyes wide as an owls. I swished my tail against the ground happily and ran up to her
"Thank you.."
"No needs to worry" she interrupted smoothly,"I thought you would need some help with Pepper" there was slight amusement in her meow "After all, he is much bigger than you!"
She giggled and ran off. I took that as a cue to chase her down like a rabid fox.
