The next morning I woke up in the dark and cozy nursery, I slowly got up so I wouldn't bother my littermates. I could hear the birds chirping and some cats whispering outside, I got curious and went out of the nursery. Once I stuck my out the chilly air hit it but that didn't bother me, in fact, I loved the cold breeze ruffling my ear fur. She took a long look around camp she could see her leader a silver tom with bright-blue eyes named Minnow and Stone with their heads close together whispering to each other about something. She decided to come up and ask them if she was going to be a hunter, a healer, or a guard. This happens when a kit is old enough to come of age and help out with the duties, a hunter is a food, a guard is protecting the camp, and a healer is for helping with sickness and kitting. She was really excited too because this will be her first time to try meat instead of milk! As she padded up to the two of them turned and looked at her with startled eyes. I was about to speak when I heard a distressed cry from the nursery. My body stiffened with fear I knew who that was I thought that's Violet! I looked up to see Minnow's wide eyes look at Stone than to the nursery he then bounded away. I heard the medicine den entrance rustled and rushing out came Oak, Violets sister, a she-cat with brown fur and green eyes, also our medicine cat. She looked distraught guessing since this was her first time helping with kitting but as she went into the nursery, I could see the determination in her eyes. I looked at her with respect to how she chose to be a healer to help the cats she knew all her life. I guess I dozed off because Feather and Pepper were right beside me,"When did you guys get here!" I meowed dumbfounded."We have been here for a while Mint, also Fern stayed with Violet" Feather replied. I just sat there for what felt like moons waiting for Oak and Fern to go out of the nursery. Minnow was kicked out of the nursery because he was so scared that something might go wrong. There were so many cries from Violet that he was now pacing outside of the den with horror-struck eyes, now that I was thinking again why did the kitting take so long shouldn't it be done already. I decided to see what was going on when I felt fur brush against me "Don't go" Pepper pleaded. I brushed it off and padded to the nursery I stuck my head in.
