T.H.E - II

The girl left the butler completely baffled with her unpredictable confession.

"But I can't... detect her presence?" he pondered, closing his eyes to think hard in finding possibilities why he can't tell if she is in the same clan.

Y/N was smiling the whole time, entertained at his reaction,"Oh Sebastian, you still have a long way to go if you weren't expecting it" she entered the hall to start the meeting.

"The butler, please come in" Mrs. Layla then invited, popping her head on the door before realizing the president was long gone.

"Where is she?" she looked around, sort of knowing why she went missing.

"She had a meeting to attend from what I have heard" earning an understanding nod from the principle as he entered the office.

Mrs. Layla elaborated in details of how the university system work before jumping into organisation hierarchy of the campus.

Nearing the end of the talk, Chloe uncomfortably fidget on her seat, seem to be contemplating whether to ask the question or not.

The principle had a visible frown on her face,"Princess Smith, if you have any question, let me know" she kindly offered.

Chloe gave Sebastian a hesitated glance before proceeding with her enquiry.

"Um... Uh... Ho-How did Y/N get accepted in this university?" she restlessly stumbled upon her words, not wanting the other person to take it as offense.

"Predictable" the woman figured.

She was not surprised, at all. It was one of the most common question that people ask when they first enter the university.

Wondering how the princess managed to be by herself.

Mrs. Layla hummed to herself, thinking of a simple way to answer,"Do you mind being more specific?"

She leaned back to the chair, with her hands intertwined waiting for a response.

The beautiful princess stared upon the ceiling, biting her lips,"I mean... She doesn't have a family anymore..." she lowered her voice in a mannered tone.

Mrs. Layla finally got the gist of it,"I see, I understand, okay" she paused before adjusting her posture.

"You see, she had foster parents, who looked after her for 2 years. However, I can't tell you in detail as I have no information on that, she refused to get more specific regarding her family" she calmly clarified.

She looked afar, eyes sparkling with sense of pride,"She has extraordinary leadership skills, her intelligence is no doubt top notch"

She continued to brag about her top student, causing Chloe to grin from ear to ear.

Y/N is her role model after all.

"However..." the principle changed her tone instantly as her look dispirited away.

Chloe's breathing hitched, anxious of the reason why the principle seem very disappointed.

"She is not a lady at.all" Mrs. Layla hopelessly complained as she massaged her temple with a hopeless sigh.

Although it was subtle, Chloe caught Sebastian silently chuckling to himself.

"What?... Never have I ever seen Sebastian getting amused before." she wondered, her eyebrows creased with annoyance and frustration.

After they were dismissed, the princess and her butler roamed around the campus aimlessly as she was told that class only starts the next day.

From afar, they both watched the president demonstrating her excellent skill in fencing as she guided the rest of her friends.
