#My POV

We know damn well you saw him coming, Mikage.

"Is my intuition deceiving me?" he walked closer with a stern expression on his face.

I heaved a defeated sigh,"That's alright, nothing happened"

He turned at last to face me as his eyes were narrowed, rigid and cold, more than ready to be enraged but he quickly gets a hold of himself before he does so.

"My lady, I do not wish for you to have any business with him, ever again"

"I know, I know. But he's the only one who can save me" his face turned into another pained expression with his clenched fist.

Here we go again.

"Come here, Mikage"

He stood next to the bed anxiously,"Do not ever think of that solution. I will never go for it. I do not want you or anyone else, to even consider that method"

His eyebrows creased in denial,"But princess we have t—"

"I said dont think about it!" he slightly flinched in surprise, avoiding my gaze in agony of my unexpected outburst.

"Please..."

My breath trembles as my eyes wandered around the room, startled at my own voice.

I do not want any of them to sacrifice themselves for me.

If any half-demon wishes to extend their life span, they shall present a human sacrifice of their loved one.

"I really am sorry for my rudeness, Lady Takahide" he bowed with a deep regret tone in his voice.

Shaking my head desperately, I clutched on my pajamas,"No it was my fault, I'm so sorry for raising my voice on you I just..."

Mikage finally looked up, noticing the long pause I had that seem to concern him.

"You guys are the only family that I have, and you give me strength. So... I'd die first before watching yall die" I cried out with a laugh in between, rubbing my teary eyes in embarrassment.

He forced a smile,"Your order is my command, lady. I will do my best to assist you as much as I'm capable to. Now, please take some rest" he turned the lights off and shut the door quietly before I drifted off to sleep.

————————————————————

Few months have passed.

Things at the university have gotten even more hectic than it should.

My duty as a president and a top student is really not my thing. I have trouble managing time, studying, socializing.

In fact, I'm the opposite of my own reputation, how ironic.

Unfortunately, I don't have enough guts to have a conversation with Chloe regarding the whole thing... Considering her serious situation with her illness.

She is head over heels for Sebastian.

"Oh gosh" I groaned to myself, pushing my hair back as I threw myself on the bench.

"HEY!" Amber shouted as she blew a massive punch to my shoulder.

I quickly turned my head and gave her a death glare, but didn't have enough strength to deal with it.

"You alright?" she asked, placing my head on her lap as she stroke my hair, gently.

"Tell me about it" an annoyed grunt escaped my lips as I tried covering the sunlight gleaming on my face.
