We all looked up to the middle-aged woman who elegantly greeted us by the hall.

Like mother like daughter. Their genes are first class.

"Good afternoon, Mrs. Smith" I carefully bowed as my lips automatically curved into a smile.

She stared into my direction in silence and expectation before her face turned into a sharp frown.

"This is not possible" Mrs. Smith spoke softly.

"Are you.... Perhaps...." the queen mumbled to herself, slowly approaching as her heels echoed throughout the ballroom.

Do I know her?

".....Y/N?" the words tumbled from her lips with a sadness in her eyes.

There was not a moment that her eyes left mine which made me flustered.

"Um.. Yes?" I hesitatingly responded, unable to hide my face that is washed blank with confusion.

"Ah, of course you were so little" she awkwardly stepped back with an enforced laugh, shyly tucking her hair behind her ear.

She guided us towards the living room as her eyes sparkled with enthusiasm, my presence seems to bring a nostalgic feeling to her.

It appears that my parents were her acquaintances.

Sebastian and Mikage just silently followed us with a robotic expression on their faces.

The first 30 minutes went by so fast as the queen was trying to catch up on what she's been missing.

"Then I'll leave you four" she eventually departed, leaving us restless.

"Chloe" she slightly flinched upon my call, seem to be startled before she placed a hand on her chest, trying to catch her breath.

She must be very nervous.

I heaved a loud sigh,"You like Sebastian don't you?"

Her eyes widened before her mouth followed, she slowly clasped a hand against her mouth before releasing a horror gasp, attempting to hide her rosy cheek.

"W-W-Wh- What do you mean? Of-Of-Of course yes I like him, of- of course- yes yes, he is the one of the best butle-butlers here" she stuttered in an obvious manner.

I teased,"You know what I exactly meant, Chloe"

"Uh...." she gulped.

Time was ticking and Chloe was still unable to collect her composure, as if she was avoiding the topic.

Then why did you bring me here if you weren't ready. I sighed, closing my eyes to calm my frustration.

We are wasting so much time.

"My apologies for my rudeness but Princess Smith, I suggest you open up to her as much as possible, it is for the best" Sebastian finally cut to the chase, I could see just how impatient he was.

Chloe grimaced as soon as she heard Sebastian who seemed concerned with me waiting for too long.

Which she found offensive.

"You want to ask my permission to take him away don't you, Y/N?" she finally snapped, it was my first time discovering this side of her which I was already suspicious of the whole time.

She must have tried so hard concealing it.

I knew that first day I saw her in the park.
