not enough time in the world - tommy

Tommy was the most beautiful person in the entire fucking world. Clearly. Obviously. He was perfect in absolutely every way and nothing would ever change your mind.

Today, the perfect boy was telling you something important. Something that would change your lives forever. Something that you wish never had to be said. 

"I've been drafted for war over in Dunkirk." Was all the boy needed to say to make your heart break.

"W-what? When do you leave?" You ask, not knowing if you want the answer.

"A week." You're in shock.

"When did you find out?"

"A few hours ago."

You're silent as you stand and leave the room to think. Tommy hesitantly follows you. "Hey, Love, I'll be back soon.." he says, your stomach erupting in butterflies as he calls you love. "I promise. And we'll spend every last moment together until I leave. Okay?" You nod.

"I'd like that very much, Thomas."

And so you did. You two were inseparable for that week. You went everywhere together, aside from the loo. (Bathroom) //lol I'm sorry I had to//

But tomorrow, your Tommy would be gone, and there was a possibility that he wouldn't come back.

You were currently wrapped in a blanket on the sofa in Tommy's house, your head on his chest as you felt it go up and down with every breath.

"Do you have to go?" You mumble as he begins to play with your hair. He leans down and kisses your forehead, smiling kindly.

"I'll be back before you know it." He says assuringly.

"But I'll miss you." You say, pouting. Tommy chuckles and frowns a little.

"I'll miss you too, N/N." (Nickname).

"I love you, Tommy." You say softly.

"W-what? Really? I-" before Tommy can tell you that he feels the same way, you've fallen asleep in his arms. The boy smiles down at you, happy to have you with him now, and to have you with him when he comes back.
