"You're gonna be there, right?" You asked your boyfriend, Tristan, down the phone.
He was currently touring in America with his band and said he would be near your home town in a couple of days. Obviously you wanted to see him because you hadn't in so long but you were espeically desperate this time because your high school graduation was in a few days and you wanted Tristan to be there.
"Um, I'm not sure. I don't know if we can get time off and stuff." Tristan mumbled down the phone. You understood that he was busy and completely accepted the fact that his job came before you but it was annoying you how he couldn't take a break for a couple of hours and come and see something that was really important to you.
"Fine, whatever. I come to all your shows even though they're miles away sometimes and you can't do this one, important thing for me? This is my future, Tris. Thanks for caring." You ranted before hanging up and throwing your phone on your bed in a rage.

The day of your graduation had came and you had been ignoring Tristan since. He had called and texted thousands of times but you were so mad that you didn't answer or reply to any.
Thankfully you had your family with you so you weren't completely alone. You couldn't help but think how great it would be to see Tristan sitting there next to them but you decided to try and stop thinking about it. It was only making you angry and upset and you didn't want that.
Your whole class sat on plastic chairs as names got called out one by one. You were cheering on all your friends and classmates while laughing, and sometimes crying, at a few of their speeches. As soon as your name was called you walked up and hear a massive cheer. As you were walking up the steps to go on the stage you looked out to your family and saw Tristan sitting next to your parents. He was standing up and cheering so loud you started laughing.
"Thank you," you spoke in to the microphone. "I just wanted to say a massive thank you to my friends; I love you guys so much and you've made high school somehow fun. I also want to say thanks to my family for believing in me and supporting me through everything, I love you guys. And of course, last but not least, my amazing boyfriend Tristan who surprised me and said he wasn't going to be able to come today."

"Well done, babe." Tristan came up to you as soon as the graduation was over and you were all outside, waiting to throw your hats in the air.
"Thank you, and thank you for being here." You smiled, pulling him in for a hug as he kissed you on the cheek.
"I wouldn't miss it for the world, plus I hated you ignoring me." Tristan laughed. "Anyway, go and speak to your friends. This is your proper last day with them all, you don't wanna spend it speaking to me."
"I love you lots," You quickly gave him a kiss before rushing over to all your friends.
