Karl Kjer, a prominent entomologist currently serving as a visiting professor at Rutgers University, began his successful career as a high school sciences teacher in Coon Rapids, Minnesota. He later went on to complete both his master's and his doctorate degrees in entomology at the University of Minnesota. He has published dozens of articles focused on insect phylogeny and is always looking forward to his next project.
