The loving couple watched as their children chased each other across the sandy beach. The man looked at his wife with passion and admiration. He couldn't ask for anything more in the world. He already had everything he wanted.
As for the woman, she loved and cherished every moment with her family. But she had a feeling that something was going to happen. Nevertheless, she shook her thoughts away when her husband called her name.
"Lilah? Hello, earth to Delilah?" Her husband waved his hands in front of her. Delilah looked at him with a smile,"Yes?"
"Are you alright?" He asked with a small frown.
She placed a delicate hand on his cheek,"Never better." They both shared a smile and leaned in for a kiss. Just as their lips touched, sand was thrown onto them.
The parents grinned at one another and began to chase after their two children.

"Alright, who's ready to go home?" Delilah asked from the front seat. It was starting to get dark and they decided it was time to pack up.
"Mom, wait I forgot the football." The boy said and began to unbuckle his seatbelt.
"No, stay here and watch your sister. I'll go get it." Delilah got out of the car and walked back to the beach.
"Where you going?" William asked as she passed him.
"Adrian forgot the football." She said briefly.
William looked through the trunk and found that it was there. "Lilah, it's in here." But she didn't hear him as she was already far away.
When she reached their previous spot, she began to search for the missing ball. She turned and let out small shriek. A couple of men stood before her looking at her like a piece of meat. These men looked drunk and high and all Delilah wanted was to get away.
"Hey beautiful, what's your name?" One of the men slurred. She ignored him and tried to walk away. The man growled in anger and grabbed her wrist tightly.
"Where do you think you're going missy?" The woman cringed and tried to get out of his grip. Her heart started to beat out of her chest when he only held on tighter.
"Hey! Get the hell away from my wife!" William stormed up to them.
The man holding Delilah looked at him up and down,"This your husband? He looks like a pussy," He let go of her and spit at William's feet. The men behind him snickered and eyed the pretty woman even more.
The unnamed man was about to throw a punch, but Delilah kicked him in his manhood and ran away with Will.
The couple breathed heavily and saw the other men going after them. That only made them run faster than ever.
They reached the car and didn't answer their children's questions on why they were breathing so hard. William backed out of the parking lot and drove away in a hurry.
"Mom, Dad, did something happen?" The little girl asked. Her mother was about to respond but saw a truck appear in the rearview mirror.
"Will, they're following us!"
The car behind them sped up and drove right next to them.
"Adrian, Adeline, if anything happens to us, take care of each other." Will said as tears flooded his eyes. Their mother nodded, swallowing a lump in her throat,"We love you guys so much, don't you ever for--"
