2 - Earn surprises Noh

Monday. The school is still buzzing with the music event that took place on Friday. Noh wore his usual cherubic smile as he greeted people along the corridor as he quickly marched to his music club room. He had forgotten an important sheet that needed to be submitted to the student's council Secretary - Phun. He quickly opened the door to find Earn playing the piano. Earn turned around and smiled when he saw Noh standing there. 

"What are you doing in here?", Noh asked casually. He didn't want to look alarmed or give Earn a reason to dramatize anything. He had had enough.

"Waiting for you", pat came the reply. Noh blinked his eyes and asked, "Why?"

"We weren't done talking on Friday and I haven't been given an answer yet." Earn looked at him with pleading eyes.

"Earn, I made it clear. I want to forget all that happened and want us to just remain friends like before." He started rummaging around for the document unaware that Earn had walked towards him, standing right behind him. Noh wanted to find the paper and get the hell out before Earn tried some funny business with him. It happened just as quickly as he thought and Earn put his arms around Noh's bent waist.

"Let go now or else I will never talk to you", Noh calmly ordered. He didn't want to struggle and fight anymore. 

"Noh, I won't let you go. I can't. I am also sorry about the evening. I didn't mean to punch Phun but I just couldn't stop myself and it has left me wondering about how I really feel about you".

He tried to wriggle his way out of Earn's strong arms. Giving up he said, "Do you know how ridiculous we look right now? Can you just let go and let me talk to you face to face?", Noh tried to reason with a very distraught Earn.

As soon as Earn loosened his hold, Noh pushed him back aggressively. Earn fell back a step or two, stunned. 'Where was that goddam paper?', thought Noh. He calmly walked towards Earn and said, "I am done talking here Earn and if you still want to stay friends, leave me alone because I really am not ready.. " He couldn't finish the rest of the sentence. Earn wasn't going to listen to any of his warnings or threats from Noh. He came to be assertive about his feelings and if he wasn't going to win the talks, he was definitely going to confuse Noh and that he did, with a kiss that he only imagined in his head.. until now. Earn held him tight as Noh tried to fight him. Earn was stronger. Noh weakened his fight after a while because he knew Earn wasn't an easy opponent. Heart raced as the kiss softened and Noh was once more taken aback by the reaction of his body to the heat fueled by Earn's roaming hands. Noh was breathless when Earn eased his hold on him and slowly let him go. 

"Earn. Can you leave me the room? " was all Noh could manage, without looking at Earn. 

Earn left the room. A little defeated. He knew Noh was never going to speak with him again. 

Noh tried to smoothen out his clothes, tucked his shirt tail into his shorts. Took two deep breath and looked for the document. While he did, his confusion got the better of him, as he kicked the chairs and table out of sheer frustration. He was raging with fury built up inside. He didn't know how to deal with such a situation and was overpowered by Earn. He gave into his kiss at the end. He guiltily enjoyed his embrace. He let his guard down. Earn - that bastard.

Noh ran to the Student's Council Room with the paper in hand and found Phun just closing a file that he had been busy with. He walked towards him with a smile and erased all suspicions of what had just happened. Phun complained about him being late with the document submission but then re-assured him that he will take care of it. Noh smiled and thanked him. He was just about to leave when Phun called out, "Noh, are you coming over to my place this evening". 

"Ummm... I have something to take care of for Ma tonight, so I don't think I'll make it. Bye Phun - see you tomorrow."

Noh avoided Earn like plague the entire day. Noh's minds raced till only confusion prevailed. Why was Earn being a reckless jackass. Was he really bent on putting their friendship at stake? Earn was someone who was always cool-headed and a friend he could count on. Now what? Why was Phun and Earn taking him for granted? Can't they direct their raging hormones on someone else? Why him?
