You stood beside Josh, eying the CyberLife store right before you. The cold evening breeze had a bite to it, you could feel it on your face. It seemed, after all, Markus was going to utilize you to help spread their message. You couldn't be any happier to be apart of something... worthwhile.
Deep down you knew truly this was what was right, what was just and what was going to change the world.
"Everyone else should be at their positions... you ready?" Josh faced you, his expression was soft and reassuring. So many times the Android would ask if you were certain about pulling off this task, by doing so it'd make you a criminal to which you simply replied with 'I already am'.
A nod confirmed your final thoughts, and that meant their plan was underway. Josh eyed inside the store, seeing the other Androids projected and on display like some form of machine. "Follow me, I'll find where the security system leads-"
You cut him off with the shake of your head, a smile curled your lips upward as you hold up your CyberLife ID in your gloved fingers. "No need - Engineers get clearance for every store... you never know if an Android needs to get fixed." You had mentioned abusing your authority as CyberLife personnel to Markus while you could still get clearance.
It was no telling how long CyberLife would catch onto the fact you've exceeded your days off work and find out about your visit to the Detroit Police Department.
"Well - that would've been nice to know beforehand," Josh grumbled under his breath, you chuckled lightly and nudged your head for him to head down the laneway beside the store. All things considered, it was a peaceful evening in Detroit, very quiet and calm for once. No one was out except Androids doing their due diligence.
Reaching the storage door at the back of the store you swiped your card, the lock flashing green as you and Josh slipped into the store with ease.
This particular CyberLife store was bigger, holding more stock out the back than it did out the front. It just meant all the more Androids to relieve. You kept your head down to avoid cameras with your eyes focused on the ground, "Where's the camera?"
Josh looked around for you, spotting one tucked away in the far left corner, right by the door leading to the main storefront. "Near the door to the store." He informs you, you nod in response, rifling through your bag for a handy can of black spray paint.
Giving the bottle a shake as you walk toward the door, careful as to not look up until you were right underneath the camera, you extend your arm out and press down hard on the spray can, letting the paint cloud the camera's vision completely. "Nice and easy - I spotted two more out in the store so while you wake them up, I'll take care of the cameras." You instructed, Josh didn't mind to see you were taking the lead.
He knew better than anyone your best interests lay with the freedom of Androids. Allowing you to partake in leading is as easy as letting Markus take a stand against humans.
"On it..." Josh gave you a nod to confirm before he opened the door and slinked out, you following him with the paint ready in your hand. You kept your face focused on the wall underneath one of the cameras, standing on a podium that an Android occupied to spray over the camera.
You similarly worked your way to the second one, the murmurs and soft talking of awakening Androids reassured you as you close up the last camera's field of vision. By the time you were done most of the storefront was filled with now free Androids.
Josh walked over to you triumphantly, the feeling of liberating the Androids warming him on the inside immensely. "You wanna do the honors of talking with them - while I get the rest out the back?" He smiled, seeing you light up. Of course, you wanted to speak with them, why wouldn't you.
