Dr Rebecca Smith opens the door, with hands filled of full injections. She is followed by a flow of shocked students. They had never seen such show. Vosgen stops. Her eyes widens. The idea was in front of her. Her opened mouth a sign, interpreted as dangerous. Really, the reason of her unusual agitation was victory.
" I won. "
She winks at Dr Rebecca Smith after leaving the room. The group is so bewildered that they did not know how to speak or explain ever again. Dr Simon Lejeune bursts in.
" What happened ? Where is Vosgen ?
- She was here a second ago ! The intern Isaac informs.
- She vanished. Dr Eva Mandell adds, blinking frenetically her eyes.
- Let's find her ! She is probably dangerous !
- No risk.
- No doubt. "
They run away. Two floors lower, Laura Vosgen disguised in a white blouse, tries to escape. Her constant laughs were suspicious in the ears of doctors hurrying. Luckily, the fool hides in a open office. She seats for a while. Resting.
" An office. What a coincidence. "
She grabs a pen on the desk and a paper not far from her hand. With a clear idea and the desire to cure, Laura Vosgen drafts the first lines. Dialogues between unknowns let her think of the voices : familiar or imagined. The main situation leads to many schemes. The possibility was free itself allowing her creator to invent. In a vivid state of trance, the artist had decide to write her second novel. She was determined to make it the best novel she coud ever think of. Suddenly, a wrong thought came in. If she writes this specific novel, she will later on remain on the same track as before. What a vicious circle. The author trying her best to create the best piece may find herself as lonely and poor as on the first step. A second opinion rises. Then, this project will never end. She could write a scenario for a tv series. Brilliant !
Noises in the hallway. She dives under the desk, grabbing her treasure in her pocket.
" LAURA ! WHERE THE HELL ARE YOU?! "
She recognizes the strong voice of Rebecca and smiles.
" Open every door. "
At this order, the fraudster finds herself o the ground, silently finding a way out. Two doors in front of her. She opens one and discovers a storage case.
" Son of a bit- "
Laura enters in the other area. A dental treatment room. The cold and gloomy atmosphere due to the missing lights was freaky. Kneeling, she pursues her quest. Darkness surrounds her ; the shiny metal instruments posed near the blue plastic chair made her shaky. She pushes against a door to enter another space. Another room. She stands tall and runs toward the same door. In the third room she uncovers, no more door. No exit.
"This is the end my friend. "
The blood was beating her temples, the fatigue linked to the exitation to get out won her. The voices could be heard louder. They were approaching.
" Quick.. An idea ! Another one ! This is my lucky day.."
She thinks hardly about the possibilities. Rooftop. Climb then jump. Suicide. Murder. Fake robbery. Too much movies making. She frisks her pockets, sorting out her first script, a stolen pen. No keys, meant no car. No phone, meant no call. No escape. Laura turns at the voices.
Dr Elizabeth Darcy turns on the light in her room. Waking the blind one. She was highlighting the thieve.
" Found her. "
Dr Rebecca Smith, nearly accompanied by Dr Cate Beckett and Madam Lisa Eldestein came in. Rebecca stares at the guilty under the giggles of the two others.
" You won ! Laura laughs.
- Yes and you too.
- Oh, really ? "
Her enthusiasm made Rebecca regretting her feelings.
" A trip to the detox-
- No worries Rebecca. I'll take care of it. Lisa Eldestein interposes in between.
- It ? The insane author glances at her.
- Your case, silly. GET BACK TO WORK EVERYONE. "
The yelling strong order of the superior director shoved and shook every intern and doctor. Rebecca remained in her initial position.
" Dr Smith. You too. You did enough. Darcy what are you doing here ?
- This is my room.
- Find another one. "
