Later that night I was just sitting at my desk doing my math homework when I my phone randomly buzzed. I was confused at first because no one ever texted me but I decided to check it in case it was my mom asking if I wanted dinner. When i opened the message I saw a text from an unsaved number. That's weird i thought to myself. But then I looked at the message.

Unsaved: 

Hi~ it's yuqi :) 

Unsaved: 

look at this cute cat picture I found

Unsaved: 

how is this girl so adorable I don't understand

me: 

omg yuqi that is so cute, look at this other one i found

me:

Before I knew it we had already been texting until 2 in the morning. Next thing I knew I was asleep and woke up to my phone ringing. Hello?  I groggily answered. (Y/N) are you still coming to pick me up? I heard a cheerful but worried voice on the other end. Oh my god don't tell me I slept in and forgot I was picking up yuqi today. Please let me still have time to go and get her. When I looked at the time I saw that I had 35 min to try and get dressed, grab some breakfast, pick up yuqi, and try to get both of us to school ON TIME. Quickly I said goodbye and hung up the phone. Then, I grabbed my backpack, stuffed some clothes in for today, grabbed my homework and laptop, went downstairs, grabbed some toast, and was out the door and on my way to get yuqi. By the time I picked up yuqi we had 21 min left to get to school. As I drove I ate my toast and yuqi was cheerfully singing along to the songs on the radio. Halfway through the ride I had to hit the breaks on the car to avoid getting into an accident. While doing so my backpack tipped over and spilled its contents all over yuqi's feet. She tried to pick everything up and put it back into my bag but before I can pull over and help she noticed the clothes I had quickly stuffed in my bag for school today. Awkwardly she pulled up a pair of fishnets, a black skirt, and a stripped black and white long sleeve. I didn't mean to bring that outfit but I guess it will have to do for the day since I can't wear shorts to school. I quickly grabbed the clothes from her and stuffed it in my bag. Then, I threw my bad into the backseat of my car and drove the rest of the way in a hue cloud of embarrassment.

We managed to get to school with 5 min before the bell rang. As soon as I parked the car yuqi and I were out and on the way to the girls bathroom. Yuqi held my bag while I changed. 

I could feel yuqi staring at me but I grabbed my bag from her and practically ran to my locker. As soon as I got it open i grabbed a pair of black boots I always keep in there and shut the door. I turned to tell yuqi I would see her later and ran off to class. As I was leaving in the opposite direction of her I heard her say "You look really good" as she turned and walked. I tried hard not to but my cheeks became pink after catching that comment and I was left in the first period class smiling like a fool.
