Too cute to ignore Yuqi x Fem! Reader

Cookies

I lead YuQi outside the side doors of the school and we sat on the bleachers. Today was Sunny but slightly cold. There was a consistent breeze but it wasn't anything too bad. It just made me with I wore pants today instead or at least brought myself a jacket. Both of us sat there in silence as we began to eat and looked out at the empty football field. I didn't like the silence so I decided to put on the playlist I began making for YuQi. The playlist consisted of songs she had played during our car rides and some I think she might like.

After lunch the day slowly continued on. At the end of the day I was just excited to get home and take off this skirt which is more uncomfortable than I remembered it being. Note to self I need a new emergency outfit.

Once I walked through the front door of my house I let out a sigh of relief as I closed the door behind me. I didn't realize until the smell hit me but my mother was home early. My parents both work late so they usually get home close to midnight. Happy to have my mother home I tip toed into the kitchen to see what smelled so good. My mother was in front of the oven pulling a fresh pan of chocolate chip cookies. I walked up behind her and gave her a hug. "It's nice to have you home early mom." "Really? Because you missed me or because you missed my cooking?" she giggled. "Both" I said as I took a bite out of a warm cookie.

After an hour of catching up with my mother she urged me to go up to my room and do my homework while she gets started on dinner. While I was talking to my mom I didn't realize YuQi had called me since I wasn't paying attention to phone. I quietly closed my bedroom door and called YuQi back.

"Hello?" she answered

omg how can she be so cute

"Hey I saw you called, did you need anything?" I tried to cool-y say

"Oh! Yeah I forgot one of my homework binders in the back of your car and I kinda need it for homework tonight" she shyly stated

"I can come by and drop it off" I proposed

"Could you please? I'm sorry to be such a bother but I really need it"

" Yeah I'll be right over." With that I hung up, grabbed my key chain, put on my shoes, and went downstairs to tell my mom I was stepping out for a bit. "Which friend are you going to?" she asked seeming very puzzled because I haven't gone out to my friends houses in a while. "Oh, she's new. Her name is YuQi and she is just the sweetest thing." "Oh, you should take her some cookies! I made too many and no, you are not allowed to eat all of them" she joked. She quickly packed some in a container and I left to YuQi's.

Once I got to her house I brought her binder and the container of cookies to her door. When she answered I explained to her that my mom wanted to send cookies over and she was very happy to receive them. Looking past her into the house I was kinda sad at how bare it was. Good thing we are going furniture shopping this weekend, maybe we can make this place more homey for her.
