 ~3 months later~

[First week of December}

After that day YuQi and I had our photo shoot we began to hang out more and more. I don't hang out with my other group of friends so much anymore, we still eat lunch together but I don't join them to go out to the club as much as i used to. I really enjoyed being around YuQi. She was always just so happy and cheerful which was a big difference from how my other friends are. It was nice. YuQi and I had made so many more memories I cherished such as that time we made pancakes for dinner one Saturday night and ended up having a mini food fight with the batter to the time when I drove her out to the field right outside the edge of town so we can chill and look at the stars. I can never tell if I like her as a friend or possibly something more.

December is an exciting month with there being the big winter dance, finals, and then everyone is off for break. First was finals and YuQi and I were currently having nightly study sessions at her house after school to prepare. It seemed like recently I was spending more time at YuQi's than at my own house, but my parents didn't mind since they would prefer me be with someone than alone at home so often. Finals began this upcoming week and for once I wasn't dreading it, I felt ready with all the preparation we had been doing.

After finals is the winter dance. The first dance of the school year. there were only 2. YuQi seemed to be excited to go and I guess I was too. I had skipped all of the school dances before this year but I guess that since I'm a senior I might as well go to my LAST school dances right?

~Time skip because this would've been dreadfully long and boring~

As the last bell rang that Friday I felt all my anxiety leave my body. Now we had the weekend to rest and then Yuqi wanted to go shopping for a dress to wear to the winter dance. Lately YuQi had seemed on edge and I wasn't too sure why. She had been in contact with her parents more than ever lately and every time she would get off the phone I could tell she was very anxious and sometimes mad. She hasn't opened up to me yet on what's going on and she avoids the topic when I try and bring it up but if going dress shopping will make her happy and take her mind off of things for a bit I will stand with her in that store for hours.

Hi guys! I'm sorry this chapter is so short and that I've been gone for so long. This story is getting into its big events and this chapter is short because I couldn't think of a good transitions and I didn't want to put in too many magical time skips.
