A long time ago, before we monsters existed, there existed an all-powerful being known as the Creator, who drew us all to life using a magical book called the Book of Life.
The Creator was responsible for all living things inside this world, be it man or monster.
Most creatures were kind and empathetic, like the monsters, but along with their compassion came the hatred of the humans.
Monster-human relationships were forever changed one fateful day. And that was the day the Creator abandoned us.

Around two years ago, a new person had been elected head of the human council. He was benevolent to all, and promised change for all races.
His name was Damien. But, along with his countless ideas, a single one was always in his mind.
Damien was very curious, and wasn't afraid to question his superiors. So, he questioned why it was that only the Creator could draw inside the pages of the Book of Life. He thought that it could be done better, if the people were allowed to create things, too.
The Mayor, Georgia (L/N), was aware of this, and in panic, hid the book away. However, in the middle of the night, Damien found and stole the book, and brought it back to his house.
There, he tried to draw in the pages...but all his creations came out twisted and black.
The Mayor, realising what Damien had done, ran in pursuit of him towards the exit to their village.
In a fit of anger, Damien started tearing the pages out of the Book of Life, scattering them across the world.
The Mayor was able to take back what was left of the book before Damien escaped back to the human village.
The village of monsters suffered a great loss that day, and the Creator entered a period of grief, sealing the Book of Life away in a secret location. Shadow began to cover the village in darkness, as monsters started to leave, looking for better homes.
The sun grew dim...the stars and moon faded away...and eventually, the Creator abandoned them forever, only leaving cryptic clues as to where the Book of Life had been hidden.....
