"I just...don't want to dissapoint anybody."
****
Snow Day"So...from what you've told me thus far...you're the Creator now, right?" Your mom clarifies, as you nod.
"Yep. Whenever I find a template page, I can draw on it with my magic pen, and bring it to life." You explain monotonously for the millionth time.
"So, these template pages are the key to saving our village! This is great!" She cheers, as me and Impact sigh. She has a really short attention span.
"Ms. Mayor? When are my mommy and daddy coming back?" Candy asks nervously, Emily perking up.
"Oh, right! I'll go back in there again to find them." She states, but stops herself, seeing our expressions.
"Guys, I know you want to help, but it's dangerous out there for you! I can't be taken by the shadows like you monsters can, I'm an imaginary being who I'm pretty sure isn't exactly human, can I even die like you guys do? Anyway, I'm going alone, and no buts." She explains, getting off-topic mid-sentence. Just like your mom, heh.
"Alright, we understand... but first, Y/N, you said about those templates, right? Well, while I was in the snow fields, I found this." Your mom passes you a template piece, simply labelled "snowshooter". Impact looks over your shoulder in curiousity, as you quickly finish up, putting it back in the Book of Life.
Almost instantly, the snowshooter you just drew materialises into Emily's hands.
"Cool! Alright, I'll be off! Don't get into too much trouble, alright?" She winks, before running back off towards the Snow Gate.

The snow in the village is soft and crunchy, and patches have already started to melt away. Spring has finally come.
Your mom goes back into her office for a nap, so you and Impact are left alone to look after Candy.
"So, Y/N, how you feeling about this whole being the Creator, and all?" Impact comments, as you take a little stroll, Candy following behind.
"It all seems to be going so quickly...one minute we're going through my rock collection, the next minute, spring is here! And now I have the power to make dreams reality... It's amazing!" You exclaim, doing a little dance on the spot. Impact simply nods.
"Y'know, I'd like to do something to help around here too, like help Emily on her adventure sometime! But...she said no." He replies dejectedly, as you look at him, curious.
"I just want to do something worthwhile with my life, y'know? Don't...didn't you feel the same, Y/N?"
"Well, being the Creator is a whole different responsibility. And I bet my mom will want to start training me to be the next Mayor any day. I just...don't want to dissapoint anybody." You reply, holding the Book of Life close to your chest.
"...Hey, hey! Let's not get all down on ourselves!" Impact realises, and you giggle. Impact huffs, and crouches down suspiciously.
"What? You found someth-" You start, before being hit square in the face with a snowball.
"Oh, you'll pay for that!" You grin, placing the book under your arm, and preparing to throw a snowball back. He's caught off-guard as you hit him square in the side.
"Yay! Snowball fight!" Candy cheers, joining in with the fun. The three of you fight it out until the sun sets, as you finally collapse in the snow, laughing.
"Guys, I'm...Oh! You look like you had fun." Emily comments, smiling at you from above, and giving you a hand. Several pieces of paper are under her arm.
"Candy? Your parents are talking with the Mayor now, so run over there, okay?" She smiles, as you all stand up, Candy running off in glee.
"So, what are all these templates for?" You ask, as she passes them over to you.
"Rain, fire, even banya! Hey, what's a "shadow rod"?" You ask, Impact excited over the prospect of finally being able to eat banya again. Emily shrugs.
"Your choice, isn't it? You're the Creator." You smile, and nod, and get to work on all the pages.

Back inside (as it is now dark), you finish colouring in the last template, and put the pages back inside the Book of Life. Impact is half-asleep, mumbling something about banya again.
Whilst you were working, your mom and Emily made temporary for all those rescued. The ones in question were Nebula and his family, Farmer Brown's family, an old elderly couple you never really talked to, and Chef Cookie and his staff. Let's just say the village is a lot more lively than before.
Anyway, all the stuff you drew comes to life. Ornate lampposts now adorn the streets, and clouds cover the sky, warning of the rain to come. A pack of banya seeds sits under Impact's hand, and finally, Emily grabs hold of the shadow rod, which starts glowing faintly with her presence.
You yawn. "Wanna see what that does before we sleep?"
"I don't need to sleep, but sure." Emily shrugs, as you place the Book of Life underneath Impact, too.
As you and Emily stand outside in the cold, you lean against your house.
"So...is there like, some magic word or something? Or do you just...I don't know." You ask, as Emily frowns, pointing the rod at the sky.
"Do something!" She yells, pointing it at the sky. It crackles a little, but results in nothing.
"Hey, if it's a shadow rod, trying aiming it at the shadow clouds." You yawn, pointing towards where Nebula's shop would be, if it weren't covered in darkness.
Emily walks over, and waves it again, but this time, the rod fires a proper bolt of energy towards the centre of the shadows. You quickly run over to watch what will happen.
The ball of light shines brightly amongst the darkness, turning all the shadows grey. You see the faint outline of the village shop amongst them, before Emilt swings the rod again, and the ball of light seems to vacuum up the shadow clouds, almost like a black hole. Then, the darkness clears, as the light fades away.
"...Well, now we know why it's called a shadow rod. Now Farmer Brown and Chef Cookie can stop living in the sane house, thank god. If we left them there any longer, I'm sure they'd kill each other." You smile, too tired to be excited. Emily smiles back, and goes on her way, clearing up shadow from the rest of the village centre.
