"You... I... I created you!"
****
A Hero is Born"And I'm done!" You announce, smiling at how well the drawing came out. You've been drawing for a good 20 minutes, and have figured out the basics of the pen. You can think of what colour you want the pen to be and change the colour, just like that. You also figured out that by pressing down on the page for a few seconds acts like the fill tool.
"You should give it a cool name, (Y/N)! I, for one, do not want to be calling this guy "Hero" for the rest of eternity." Impact comments, as you giggle.
"Okay, okay." You smile, crossing out "Hero" and replacing it with a better name.
"Done!" You smile, opening up the Book of Life again. Suddenly, the page is ripped out of your hand, and places itself at the front of the book. The book jumps out of your hands, landing on the floor next to you, the hero template facing the sky. Once again, you're blinded by a bright light, but it fades away fairly quickly.
Opening your eyes, you are met with disappointment. The book lies on the ground, now closed. Impact looks up at the sky, also confused.
You both turn towards each other quietly.
"Shh. Do you hear that?" Impact asks, as you nod.
"Yeah...is that...screaming?" You answer, as you both look up at the sky. Your vision is obscured as something large falls on top of you both.
Struggling, you rise up, rubbing your head. Impact follows suit, but then you both gasp, looking at what's resting on top of you.
A child. A child with a striking resemblance to the one you drew.
Although she's face down, you know what she looks like. She has brown hair that's dip-dyed green, and wears a blue jacket that covers an orange and blue striped shirt. And she wears a rainbow scarf, just like you and Impact.
"...Emily? Is that....you?" You ask, as Impact helps you lift Emily off of you. She slowly flutters her eyes open, seeing the both of you standing over her.
"Woah...who are you? And where am I?" She asks, as you both smile at each other.
"You...I...I created you! You're...you're real!" You squeal, helping her up excitedly.
"Yeah? I'm real, what's the big-" She starts, before both you and Impact start to hug her.
"Say (Y/N), isn't she...?" He starts, as you grin and nod.
"That OC I would never shut up about in 5th grade? Yeah she is! C'mere, Emily! I'm your creator!" You chirp, blushing."You see, Impact...I've always secretly wished that Emily would come to life, despite how silly it sounded back then. That's why I was so obsessed with bringing the Creator back. Because I wanted to ask them to fufill my childhood dream. And now, they have!" You smile, your creation looking up at you in confusion as you let go.
"But I already have a mom! I...Who even are you two?" She asks, as you and Impact calm down from the initial shock.
"Oh, right. As I said, I'm (Y/N). I created you! You're in Monster Town right now...you know this place, right? It's in your world, too." You smile awkwardly, Emily nodding along.
"Yeah, it's a little familiar...didn't we have a snowball fight here once?" She asks, as you nod, Impact suddenly beaming.
"Oh right! That was back when the sun was still around! Nobody wanted to join in, so (Y/N) pretended that you were playing with us, too!" Impact chirps, remembering.
"And remember when I put all my pocket money in the wishing well, and it all bounced right out? Impact had bruises for weeks!" You giggle, Emily nodding.
"Ahem...anyway, we're glad you're here now. We really need your help!" You giggle, crouching down to speak to her.
"What's the matter?" She asks polietly.
"You remember my mom, the Mayor? She's been trapped by Damien, and we need to go save her!" You explain sadly, Emily's expression shifting in annoyance.
"Man, that guy was so cliché in your stories. It's been a while since I last kicked his butt, so why not? Let's go!" She smiles, pointing towards the bridge.
"Yeah Emily, problem," Impact says, lowering her hand down,"Damien covered the bridge with darkness. And you don't even have your sword!"
Emily frowns, patting the place where her sheath should be.
"Oh right...wait, isn't there another way still?" She gasps, confusing the both of you.
"The Snow Gate, duh! It hasn't been used in decades, but it's still there, right?" She yells, as Impact looks at you, still confused.
"Oh, that thing? I don't know, Emily...the hinge has probably frozen by now." You explain dejectedly, Impact suddenly frowning.
"Hey! Y/N! Are you really giving up already? C'mon Emily, show us where the gate is." He snaps, as you awkwardly follow. Impact must be pretty...annoyed, to snap like that.
Eventually, you make it to a ruined old door, covered in snow. Testing the hinge, it doesn't seem to be locked, but it also doesn't seem to be very stable. Shrugging, you give it a big push, and luckily, nothing bad happens.
Through the door, you can see the snow fields. Impact seems rather surprised, but you shrug it off. The doors were originally used by monsters long ago as a quick 'shortcut' to the human village. But since Asgore died a millenia ago, they've been out of use, until now.
"Hopefully your mom isn't too deep in. I don't want to risk you two getting hurt." Emily comments, dragging you both unceremoniously through the door, as it magically locks behind you. You pat the pocket you put your pen in as a comfort, and grasp Impact's hand, Emily taking the lead.
After you giggle at how flustered Impact is at the sudden move, you stop. Ahead is a run down house surrounded by a few bushes, and they seem to be rustling.
"That's strange. There's no wind here." Impact comments, as Emily stands defensively, making her way towards the commotion.
Suddenly, a small, pink dinosaur jumps out and lands face first on the ground, mumbling about 'a monster', or something. You help her up, and smile.
"Candy, there you are! Your parents have been worried sick!" You gasp, giving her a hug. Letting go, she runs to hide behind you. Raising an eyebrow, you see Emily looking down at her with the same expression as you.
"Oh, right! Candy, this is our friend, Emily! I drew her all by myself!" You beam proudly, Candy no longer hiding behind you. Emily stoically shakes Candy's hand.
"Oh! That's okay! Thank you for saving me, Emiwy!" She grins, as you all continue forward. You start to notice that the ground is now covered in a sticly black substance, similiar to ink. Thinking nothing of it, you continue, but then Impact immediately grabs your hand as you see what's ahead of you.
Your mother is trapped in a cage, made completely out of the weird ink substance, patrolled by a creature you swear you've seen in a book somewhere, but... twisted, and black.
Without even thinking, you suddenly lunge yourself towards the monsters, clawing shadow over their eyes, leaving them immobile. Emily stands in shock for a second, but then runs up to help you. The monster recoils, and sinks back into the ink as the cage fades away.
"Mom! Are you okay? Please, don't leave like that again!" You cry, hugging her.
"Thank you...who is that?" She comments, nodding towards Emily.
"I'm Emily, a creation hero! And you're welcome!" She grins, Impact walking up next to her.
"A creation hero...so the stories were true! (Y/N), I'm sorry for not believing you. Let's go home for now, okay?" She smiles, hugging Candy with her other arm.
