"Who's ready...for a completely unnecessary musical number?!"

A Cause for Celebration

It's the day of the festival, and you've decided to take a little break near the village wishing well which you and Impact used to play near when you were kids.

"Y/N! Look! My parents gave me some pocket money! What should we do with it?"
"I dare you to throw it all in the wishing well!"
"WHAT?! No! My parents would kill me!"
"C'mon! They won't find out! We could make a really big wish with that money!"
"Alright! But what should we wish for?"
"Hmm...I know! I wish that one day, me and you will go on a big adventure, to see the world!"
"Hey, that's a good wish! Let's do it together, okay?"
"Yeah!"

"Y/N! There you are!" Your mom calls in relief, as you turn towards her and smile awkwardly.

"Yeah, I was just chilling a bit. Mentally preparing myself, all that jazz. Is the festival ready yet?"

"Yeah, Emily just finished cleaning up the shadows from the stage. She's gathering everyone there now. And Impact is busy setting up decorations-"

"Oh! Could I help?"

"Uhm, okay, Y/N....just please get dressed into something smart before the festival starts, alright?" She frowns, and walks away to attend to her mayor duties. You run happily towards the stage, where Impact is waiting.

"Oh, hi (Y/N)! This is actually a good time! I got you a present for the festival!" He smiles, but somehow seens disheartened, as he passes you a book.

"A book about (favourite animal)? Thanks a lot, Impact! I'll be sure to read it!" You chirp, unsure of what else to say. You would've thought Impact would have put more thought into the present, but at least now you know why he asked you about your favourite animal a while back.

"So, uh, (Y/N), what brings you here?" Impact asks, and you reply, "I wanted to help you with the decorations!"

"(Y/N)...is this just an excuse to get away from actually preparing for the festival? Y'know, like, getting dressed? Preparing a speech?"

"God, why do I have to wear a fricking dress?! Why can't I just wear what I'm wearing now? Do you see my mom wearing a dress to work every day?"

"No?"

"Exactly!"

"That's a fair point. Still, do you have a plan of what you're gonna say?"

"Uh...kinda. You're gonna laugh at it, though, it's pretty cheesy."

"Aw, (Y/N), I'm sure it will be fine!"

As you and Impact finish off setting up the decorations, Emily spots the two of you as she walks by, and runs over.

"Hey, Creator! It's been a while!" She chirps, hugging you suddenly.

"Woah, you're excited today. What's up?"

"Well, I think it's only a matter of time until I clear the darkness from the north side of town, y'know? Then you guys can go to the beach again!" She cheers, and I look at her in shock, not realising that.

"Oh yeah! I wonder if there's still any treasure buried under the sand... a load of it used to wash up on that beach."

"I hope there is! I've been itching to go treasure hunting for years now!" Impact cheers, and you giggle. Knowing him, he'll probably dig up the entire beach just so he can find all the treasure.

Suddenly, you hear a ruckus approaching, You see the entire village, making their way near the stage.

"The festival is about to begin!" Impact beams, running into the crowd to supervise Yvonne. You and Emily stand by the stage, and from the crowd emerges a beautiful siren monster.
