ohshc clichés and rants

Hitachiin Triplets.

Posted two chapters, in one day? I'm a fucking superb funky little writer l guess.

Anyways, I was requested to write this chapter by someone, like, two years ago hehe whoops... my bad, but I'll definitely try to iterate points that I think are important or make the cliché annoying to some people.

Personally, I don't read these types of stories because 1) adding oc siblings to characters kind of ruins development for certain characters, if that makes sense (btw I should probably do a chapter on oc siblings, since I'm more knowledgeable on the general concept than just the plotline of Hitachiin triplets 🤔)  and 2) because sometimes it'll include incest and I'm not about that life, even just seeing Hikaru and Kaoru being shipped makes me highkey uncomfortable like jsbahHSBAHAJBAJS.

But, anyways from what I do know of the concept is the generally, the twins either hate their triplet or love them, sometimes to an uncomfortable extent.

Not to bash on anyone who has written a story like this, but for one thing it does make much sense in context of the twins development at all. And another thing, it doesn't make much sense for Hikaru and Kaoru to hate their triplet, for what I'm assuming most of the time, is for no reason.

Hikaru and Kaoru haven't been able to be distinguished from each other until Haruhi showed up into their lives. Not even their own mother can tell them apart (although it's possible she pretends not to be able to tell them apart out of amusement? they might've mentioned that in the manga but I don't remember). And sure while some people eventually do learn how to tell them apart, like Tamaki as it is said in the manga, that still isn't until much later(?) possibly after Haruhi had told them apart, since the manga doesn't give us a specific point in which it says he has been able to tell them apart, it just says he knows how to.

But like, the whole point to the twins development is that, both of them were trapped inside their own little world & were forcing themselves into isolation, and the only form of company they had was each other. They were hurting badly because no one knew the difference between them.

To add a triplet, who I'm assuming can tell them apart & will most likely be a girl, throws off the course of the twins development, because they never even had one person who knew how to tell them apart until Haruhi, and to give them that one person who can tell them apart before Haruhi... it's erasing the reasons as to why they shut everybody out.

Now, I can't really speak on terms of the twin hating or loving their triplet to a creep extent, because as I said, I don't read these types of Ouran fanfics. However, if you give them a triplet who can tell them apart, I highly doubt they would hate them. In fact, they'd more than likely pull pranks with them and love them as family member.

I think for the most part that's what I want to cover for their chapter? Let me know if you want me to talk about any other clichés in ouran fanfictions and I'll do so to the best of my ability!!
