——

it was another rainy morning.

most of the people love the rain. i was an exception. namjoon and yoongi both loved the rainy season. namjoon told me that the sound of the rain soothed him, it motivates him to compose amazing songs. whilst yoongi has a strange liking of the scent of the rain. depressing, it is. the sullen sunless  sky above, how it gives off a blueish hue, is truly depressing.

being able to see colors is lugubrious. as odd as it sounds, but i just wished for my world to be black and white. i wished not to see colors at all. ever since i had my ability, my perspective changed. i can't look at colors the way i used to.

before i had this strange power, i didn't like the color green. in fact, blue was my favorite... but experience changes the way you see things.

that may be a shallow reason for me to dislike the rain, but i can't help it.

JUNGKOOK
"hey taehyungie, the sunflowers on the table are dying. want me to throw them away?"

TAEHYUNG
"don't throw it yet... i'll get it.
thanks kookie."

JUNGKOOK
"okay hyung. was that from the fan who cried with you the other day?"

TAEHYUNG
"yes."

i smiled timidly. 」

JUNGKOOK
"she must have an impact
on you huh? do you like her hyung?"

TAEHYUNG
"she's different from the rest of them, but that doesn't mean i like her romantically."

JUNGKOOK
"okay, okay. no need to be defensive."

he chuckled. i playfully glared at him and stood up from the couch.

TAEHYUNG
"now if you'll excuse me,
i'll just get the flowers on the table."

i walked to the dining room and saw the wilting sunflower that was sitting on the table. i took it and went upstairs to the room i share with jimin and jungkook. i placed the flower on top of my desk and sighed.

TAEHYUNG
"if only i could save you, raeyun."

sighing, i grabbed the flower pot again, searching for something. i wasn't contented with just a flower. she must have inserted something here. i know she will, she's a fan. i dumped the soil from the pot and scattered it. something caught my eye. a piece of paper. i was right. how come i thought of this just now? i picked it up and blew the excess soil that was on the paper
and read it:

sunflowers bloom just like me, wilt and die inevitably.
flowers bloom, wilt, and die.. so will i.
my lifespan and this flower's
is almost the same,
visit me while i'm still alive,
don't visit me on my grave.
visit me while i'm a sunset color still,
before this sad color fades for real.
back then, i was faded blue,
it all changed the moment i started loving bts,
it all changed the moment i met you.
for you are the sole purpose of why i'm still here.
i see colors too, taehyung, my dear.
