Viren watched as his wife cooked halwa to celebrate the success of bagging another deal like their routine had been for few months now. His intentions for honeymoon had come to fruition like he had planned. He was right when he had assumed that his married life with Jeevi would heal his scars. While he wouldn't say confidently that he was in love with her, but yes surely his feelings for her weren't the same as before and he counted it as progress. While some emotions were unclear as ever, some feelings had become even clearer : he desired her. He just did. He didn't know how it started or exactly when. Or maybe it started when he saw her holding their classmate's kid in her arms and doting on him. That moment was so thoroughly imprinted on his mind, that he wished to see the same scenario but she would be holding their child instead. It's not like he didn't know she was beautiful but her beauty had never attracted him in this way before. Her womanly curves, her waist long hair......

"Viren!" Suddenly he came to present only to see his dream subject snapping her fingers in front of him.

"Huh?!"

"Offo! Tum phir se sapnon ki duniye mein kho gaye! Jara mujhe bhi batao ki aise kaunse sapne hai jo tumhe meri awaz bhi sunai nahi deti. Aur ye pehli baar bhi nahi hua. Aaj kal jab dekho tumhari yahi haalat hoti hai. Mujhe bhi nahi bataoge kya?" (Oh god! You got lost in your dreamland again! Tell me one thing, what kind of dreams keep you from listening to what I say? And it's not even the first time. Nowadays, your condition is same. Won't you tell me?)

"Kuch khaas nahi." (Nothing special)

Hearing his response she felt disappointed. The only relief was that he would have that silly smile on his face when he would have those dreams. So she knew there was nothing to worry about. Maybe he still doesn't consider her his best friend like before. That's why he didn't feel like sharing even his happy moments. She had lost that right it seems. For she knew he was surely hiding something from her. When they had gone to Goa for their honeymoon, they had cleared their differences and she had forgiven him too for it was just impossible for her to stay angry at him, specially when she knew he was sincere at heart. And their honeymoon was full of fun they had never had before. It was like they were back to childhood instead of being to Goa. They had built sand castles, had tried the popular local cashew- feni, visited aquariums. And that was exactly Viren's intention. To refresh their childhood memories. The real honeymoon would have the real destination of course. And when they had come back, learning what he had done for her had touched her heart, specially when she learned about Sana. Even she didn't know that his ex-girlfriend was planted by his dadi. She of course worked in Viren's company. And he had taken advantage of every opportunity to make sure everyone understand that even though his wife behaved as a down-to-earth employee, they were supposed to keep one thing in mind no matter what : She was their Boss's wife. But Sana had not taken that cue. Even the fact that her position of a mere assistant with nothing more than unimportant chores did not clue her upon what was happening. Of course Viren didn't care a damn. His employees performed their special tasks well. She suffered the retaliation of every haughty and irrational demand she made. While the one she hoped would help her, would coax her with sweet words and behind her back plan next moves. And no, Viren wasn't doing this for himself but he wanted to get back at her for every insult that came Jeevika's way because of this girl. He knew even if his wife got to know about it, she would just let the matter go and forget about it, not because she was forgiving but because the matter didn't hold any importance to her. But it didn't mean he couldn't do anything about it. Then one day, the drama finally ended.

---------- Flashback ----------

"Ma'am, Sir is calling you for having lunch."
Rahul, Viren's secretary told Jeevika who didn't stop working even while replying to him.

"Okay, I will be there in few minutes."

As she entered, she prepared herself for another tantrum her husband would throw. Whoever said that Viren was an obedient child wouldn't believe it at all that he could make silly demands too. Of course they were expressed only in front of his special ones.

She entered only to see him working. He didn't look at her but his face did soften up and his lips twitched upwards.

"Jeevi, see I don't even have time to look at you today. I am so busy."
He pouted while working, if that was even possible. But she knew something was coming.

"Hmmm.. I can see that."

"How rude Jeevi, you didn't even offer help."

"I will offer help when it is really needed."
She argued back.

"I really need your help Jeevi. Can't you see your poor husband working himself to death without having a single morsel of food. So as my wife, you should make sure I remain healthy by feeding me."
He finally looked at her with that dangerous glint in his eyes.

Knowing that it was better to do as he says lest he offers something more embarrassing, she got to task at hand immediately. It was lunch time, and everyone knew the boss and his wife ate together so no one would dare disturb them. Except one that is.

Sana was in no mood for Viren's honeyed words today. She's had enough now. For past 3 months she had worked her ass off (in jer opinion) running here and there in her 3inch high heels and still people dared to laugh at her calling her good for nothing and wondering why their boss even hired her. She had heard them herself concluding that she must be a charity case who wasn't capable of doing anything but Viren wanted to help her so he gave her tasks he could do without. Hearing those words had crossed her bottom line. After all she was going to be their mistress soon yet they dared to disrespect her. She was going to have to ask Viren to make her status clear today itself.

Here Viren was doing very important work according to him, while in Jeevika's opinion he was just typing some gibberish on word doc. Yes, in literal sense he just kept pressing keys randomly while claiming that he was typing a mail in a foreign language and she wouldn't understand it.

"Oh really Viren, please tell me which language has no space between two words. I see only random string of letters with no gap between them to indicate different words."

"You wanna know? Then stand up."

While she stood, he grabbed her by her waist and made her sit on his lap sideways so she could feed him comfortably.

Before she could react, Sana entered and saw the scenario. She just couldn't comprehend what she saw.

----------- Flashback end ----------

Viren still remembers how Sana resembled an angry bull at that moment and smugly, demanded that he introduce her in front of everyone with the status she deserved and introduce he did. As an ex-employee who was getting fired due to incapability to perform even simple tasks.
