CHAPTER 2

BEAM'S POV

"Forth"

I faced him and stood up. I put both of my hands on the side pockets of my pants. "Nice meeting you again."

Forth looked like he saw a ghost.

I smirked. I really enjoyed his reaction. What does this guy thinking right now?

I tilted my head a bit and widen my smile. "I told you it is rude not to greet back when someone greeted you Forth, didn't you remember?"

I saw the other guy elbowed Forth. Forth looked at the guy who elbowed him and the guy moved his chin to point me. Forth looked at me again.

"Uh.. Uhmm. Yeah.. Hi." He smiled a bit. "It's been a while."

Based from his behavior, I know he seems uncomfortable. I guess he doesn't change that much. I couldn't help but to laugh a little.

The other guy looked at us with confusion.

"You guys know each other?"

I smirked. Forth's expression is really amusing. I waited for Forth's response to the question but he doesn't say anything so i took the initiative to. "Yeah.. Forth's an old friend. "

Forth just keep on looking at me in the eyes. Ohhh.. He can look at me in the eyes now? Really, that's nice.

A hand suddenly grabbed my right arm and pulled me slightly. I looked at the owner of the hand and I saw Phana with also a blank expression in his eyes.

"Sorry to be rude but we remember that we have an exam tomorrow so.... Yeah see you. " that was the only thing Pha said as he dragged me out of the bar along with Kit. I saw Kit leave a money on the table as our payment.

The engineering gang tried to stop us but Pha is quicker that before they can do, we're already outside of the bar.

We stopped in front of Pha's car which is just beside my car.

Phana looked at me with guilt.

"I... I am so sorry Beam. "

I just stared at him for a while, trying to process what just happened.

Then, I smile sadly.

I knew it.

"Since when Ai'Pha? Since when did you know that Forth is also attending school here?" I asked calmly.

"S.. Since last year's moon and star competition."

I sighed.

I looked at Kit who is now bowing down. "I assumed you knew too." He just bit his lip and nod.

Ohhhhkaayy.

I leaned on the car with my hands in my jean's pocket.

I took a deep breath and sighed. "Actually, I don't know what to say guys.. sorry. I am really shocked. Literally."

Don't get me wrong. I practically understand why they keep it from me. Destiny also took their side because during the competition last year, I was away for my dad's health. He had a heart surgery that time.

That explains why they're always stopping me if I want to go to Engineering faculty to fetch my flings.

And I also know that, I am not blaming them right now.

I was just overwhelmed with the things that I learned tonight.

We just remain silent for a while until a call from my phone disturbed that silence.
