The Singer Who Grew

Chapter 30, It happens...

*Yugi's POV*
"10 minutes till game time! Huddle round guys!" Atem yelled and we all gathered around him. "I've seen how hard all of you have worked, especially Yami and Yugi. Yami, you had two left feet and Yugi just joined but never stopped working. Now go out there and give them a night to remember!!"

We all broke off and I went away because they had a plan to introduce me. I'll be on a big screen talking to everyone and then I'll say that I'm late for the concert then jump into the first song. This was all Marik's idea because I'm rather flexible so my body can spin faster then everyone else's. They were all getting ready to go out on stage and Yami looked back at me, mouthing "see you on stage," and walked in with the hall erupting in cheers.

"How y'all doing tonight!!!" Marik yelled and the hall screamed. I remember when I was one of them screaming, now I'm about to join them on stage and into our first song of the tour. "Now I'm sure you've all noticed something, being the incredible intelligent people you are. We're missing someone, who is it!?!?"

Everyone screamed my name and I couldn't help but smile, I'm getting excited for this. "Yep, it's our little buddy Yugi. I think he has a few words for everyone!!" Bakura yelled and they all got into place for the song. Now it's go time.

The camera in front of me clicked on and I heard the hall scream louder if that was possible. "Heya everyone! Sorry I'm not on stage but don't worry, I'll be there soon!!" I yelled and gave everyone a wink. I kept going by my script until I got to my favourite part. "Oh look at the time, I've been blabbing on. I need to get there! I'm so late!"

The camera in front of me moved so the screen was in front of me, and I took a breath. With a little step back, I took a run up, bounced on a little pad under me and broke through the screen onto the stage. The guys turned to me to make sure I was alright and the crowd cheered for me, our music started to play in our earphones for our song. The atmosphere, feeling of the music, just being here is mind blowing. Yeah, things may have been a little shaky, but no matter how high the hurdle has been we have manged to get over it.

I could never have done any of this if Yami wasn't there supporting me and the others.

The first song was done without me even realising it and I wasn't even out of breath. Yami did great as well, he had a lot of confidence and never once looked like he doubted himself. Song after song followed, the crowd chants never stopping and the atmosphere never dying. All around was just smiles, everyone was sweaty but that wasn't a problem because we were having too much fun.

It came to Bakura's solo and we all left stage, Bakura had a spotlight on him and thanks to his outfit, he stood out brightly. "So how has this been Yugi? Not too stressed out?" Yami asked and had a drink of his water.

"No how could I when I'm having a blast with everyone. Question though, can I run down to the crowd?" I asked and everyone, even the staff burst into laughter. Marik was watching Bakura on stage so I thought I'd join him and sat down on the seat next to him. "How's he doing?"

"He doesn't show it, but I know he's terrified. He doesn't normally go on stage by himself but now he's doing this?" he said and brought his knees into his chest. "I'm proud though, mostly of you. To be honest, I was rather concerned but you've blown out any theories I had of you."

"Aha well never underestimate me Marik, I'll surprise you," I said and winked at him. Bakura was close to finishing so we had to get ready to go back on stage. It was his song, 1 more of a group, then mine, and then we finally finish with a group song. I don't want this to end, it's been too much fun. I can't wait for the next concert. We were back on stage and finished the next song until everyone left and it was me under the light.

I should be used to this, thousands of people watching me. But I don't have any monsters beside me, I don't have the others here with me. Why am I getting nervous, my legs are starting to shake. I heard a whistle and turned to see Yami peaking out from the curtains giving me a thumbs up. He doesn't even know it but just seeing him gives me confidence.

*Yami's POV*
Seems like he got a energy boost, because whatever was holding him back was gone. With him under the light, I may be exaggerating but he looks like an angle. His voice is so angelic and his moves have no self doubt in them. He knows what he does, I just wonder if he knows how it effects me. I recognised the part he was at and it was at the end of his song, only one left for today. He stopped singing and took a bow, the rest of us piled back on.

"Alright everyone, even though it pains us this will be our final song,"I said and everyone cried. "Yeah I know, this is has been my favourite concert here and I wish we didn't have to leave! You've all been great to preform with and we wouldn't be standing here if it wasn't for people like you. So from all of us," I stopped talking and we all stood in a line, wrapped our arms around each other and bowed. "Thank you all!!!"

Then. A loud noise echoed the stadium, a gun shot. Then a thud, a member had fallen. It was on instinct we all turned and knelled on the ground with him, I pulled him into my arms tears rolling down from my face.

"YUGI!!!"

I have been wanting to fo this for a while now! I was thinking of taking a different path but I asked my friends to vote and they chose this so, they caused This!!
