TMNT and the Phone Call

Kim's P.O.V

I squealed when I heard the TMNT tune and jumped on the sofa, holding a pillow to my face and held it tight. This is the life of a fangirl everyone! Today it wasn't just an episode of TMNT that was on IT WAS THE 2007 MOVIE! About half way through the film one of my favourite scenes came on. The fight scene between Raph and Leo! I mimed the words since I knew literally the whole script.

Leo": I want you to know that I appreciate your intentions, but you can't change the world like this."

Raph: "You are so smug, you know that? You think the whole world revolves around you, dontcha? That we couldn't survive without the mighty and powerful Leonardo to guide us through our problem's, huh? Well I got a newsflash for ya, we got along just fine without you!"

Leo: "Oh, and this qualifies as 'just fine'?! Dressing up like its Halloween every night? Risking the safety of our family?! I mean, c'mon what were you thinking?!"

Raph: "Don't push it Leo! You cant leave home and come back again expecting us to fall in line again like your little soldiers."

Leo: "Hey, I was training. Training to be a better leader, FOR YOU! Why do you hate me for that?!"

Raph: "And who ever said I wanted to be LED?! I'm better off calling my own shots now get used to it!"

Leo: "YOU aren't ready! You're impatient and hot-tempered and more importantly... i'm better than you."

"Ooooo!" I heard Lauryn laugh from the other side of the room. "Sorry." She grinned.

All I did was giggle as she came and sat down next to me to watch it with me. She even repeated some of the lines and I felt really proud that I taught her my Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles ways.

I felt my phone buzz in my pocket, I paused the film and glanced at the screen. Hm, unknown number. I decided on answering it. "Hello?"

"Hey, Kimberley! It's Phil." the voice said. Phil? The boy i ran into in the streets? The cute one? Wait, what?

"Phil?" I said with slight shock in my voice. "H-How did you get my number"

"Oh, Lauryn gave it to me." he stated. I peered over at Lauryn next to me and shot her a playful glare while she smiled sheepishly and then winked. "So, I was just wondering if maybe you wanted to hang out some time? i'd like to get to know you better."

I felt my breath hitch in my throat and I didn't really know what to say.

"And yes, I guess you could call it a date." He chuckled nervously. I fell silent for a few seconds and all i could see in the corner of my eye was Lauryn waving her hands about frantically and whispering 'say yes!' I waved her off.

"Um, yeah sure. Sounds great!" I said excitedly.

"Really? Wow. I didn't think you would say yes." he chuckled again. His nervousness was adorable even though I felt the same way.

"Of course I would have said yes!" I giggled. Aw, man. What if I sounded desperate? I need to stop worrying.

"Well then i'll see you later?" The smile was clear in his voice.

"See you later." I replied in a whisper.

We both exchanged our goodbyes and hung up the phone. I quickly pressed the play button on my remote and continued watching the film with the same smile still on my face.
