Kim's P.O.V
The next day
I sat on the sofa with my legs sprawled across it, reading a zombie book by one of my favourite authors, Darren Shan. The place was pretty quiet, surprisingly. I had absolutely no idea where Lauryn was. I think she was in her room but the place is still pretty silent. Suddenly I heard a loud bash on the door causing me to jump and pretty much throw my book in the air.
I ran to the door and opened it, seeing a very different looking Phil. His usually perfect, straight hair was now messy, like he'd been pulling at it; his normally illuminated blue eyes were now bloodshot and filled with fury; his adorable smile was replaced by clenched teeth.
"Phil. What's wrong?" I asked in concern.
He seemed to try to speak but couldn't find the words. "Come in." I stepped aside and let him come inside. "Sit down." I ordered more than offered.
He sat down and I sat next to him. "Look, what ever it is I'm sure everything will turn out alright-"
"And what if it doesn't!?" He snapped, causing me shock.
"I'm sorry?"
"What if it doesn't get better, huh?! What's gonna happen then?!" His voice boomed, shattering what was once silence. He stood up and began pacing the living room.
"Well I-.."
"You know what, I'm so done with everything. Nothing ever goes right!" He clenched his fist and swung his arm round in my direction causing me to flinch.
Phil's P.O.V
She flinched.. Is she scared of me?
She looked up at me with innocent eyes.
"K-Kim.." My voice softened. "Did I.. scare.. you?" I asked dreading the answer.
She looked down. "a little."
"I-I'm so sorry." My voice broke and felt myself coming close to tears.
I slowly approached her, not wanting to scare her anymore. I pulled her in, gently, and hugged her. It's when I felt her hug me back that I knew that she had forgiven me.
She looked up into her eyes and placed her hand on the side of my face. I felt like all of my troubles had disappeared in a cloud of smoke.
"I love you." I whispered.
