Chapter 25

Morgan's pov
My stupid alarm went off signaling that it was time for Mason and I to get ready for school.

I didn't feel up to going to school today because my head was killing me and I felt as if I was going to throw up.

"Morgan! Mason! It's time to get ready for school." Aaliyah said from outside of my door.

"Come on M rise and shine." Mason said unwrapping his arm from around me.

"I don't feel to good I think I'm going to hurl." Just then I felt it come up my throat. I ran to the bathroom and threw up.

"Awe baby girl did you eat something bad?" Mason said while holding my hair back.

"I haven't eaten anything." I said lifting my head up before returning to the toilet.

"Mason what's going on it sounds like someone's dying or something." Hayes said walking into my bathroom seeing the scene.

"Poohbear!" I said breaking down into tears because of all the pain I was in.

"Awe come here baby." He said opening his arms.

I begin to get up only to start feeling dizzy. I began walking towards Hayes who was at the bathroom door only to collapse onto the floor.

That's when everything went black.

Cameron's pov
I was sitting in my room to cuddling my teddy bear when I heard Hayes scream my name.

"Cameron!!!" Panic ran through me as the scream was coming from Morgan's room.

I busted out of my room almost crashing into Aaliyah who was running up the stairs towards Morgan's room also.

"What happened!!" I yelled after seeing Morgan on the floor.

"She just passed out! She is burning up." Hayes said in a panicking voice.

"She must have gotten a fever from being in those wet clothes last night. I'll call the home doctor." I said before running to get my phone.

Within 30 minutes the home doctor came to check up on Morgan.

"It seems as if Morgan has a high fever." He said after examining her sleeping form.

"Oh thank god." I said out of relief.

"But I also want to tell you that Morgan has a concussion."

"What do you mean she has a concussion?!"

"My guess is that she took a hard hit to the head. Does she play any sports?"

"Only softball but they had their last game awhile ago."

"Really that's interesting. Listen she should wake up in a couple of hours. Give her the medicine I gave you and if she doesn't feel better bring her to the hospital. Okay?" The doctor said waiting for my response before he left.

"Of course." I said shaking my head rapidly.

"I hope she will be okay." I said to myself before climbing in bed to cuddle with her.

Aaliyah's pov
After dropping Mason off at school Cameron texted me telling me Morgan should be okay so I decided that I would go to the mall. Just to take my mind off of a couple things for a while.

While walking around I bought Morgan a couple of outfits, Cameron a new pair of shoes, and some clothes for me.

I was about to walk into the Vans store when I saw a familiar face walk out it was Devin.

"Hey Aaliyah!" He said after we made eye contact.

"Hi how are you?!" I asked.

"I'm doing great! How are you?" He asked.

"Oh I'm okay I guess just a few bumps in the road."

"You wanna go and get coffee and maybe talk about it."

"Sure! I still owe you a coffee since I ghosted you the other time." I said feeling bad.

"It's okay I know you wouldn't have canceled if it wasn't something important happening." He said forgiving me easily.

"Thanks for forgiving me so easily."

"No problem now to the coffee shop we go!!" He said before grabbing my hand and pulling me towards the nearest Starbucks.

This should be fun.

Morgan's pov
I woke up feeling pain in my head still but nothing a few pain pills couldn't do.

I looked behind me at the sleeping figure who had their arm wrapped around me. It was my dad.

I decided I would wake him up, "Dad."

He must have been worried because he woke up mighty fast, "What's wrong princess?! Are you still sick! Should I drive you to the hospital? Let me go grab my coat."

I pulled him back down onto the bed, "I'm perfectly fine just a minor headache nothing some Tylenol can't do."

"The doctor said you had a concussion how did you hit your head?" My dad asked suddenly.

Obviously I wasn't going to tell on Dario because he would kill me so I tried to lie, "um I fell running away from that creepy guy in the car."

"Morgan baby please don't lie to daddy okay just tell me the truth and I won't get mad I promise."

I knew he would keep figuring out that I was lying so I just decided to tell him the truth and nothing but the truth.

"So you're telling me he hit you with a bat because you refused to break into a store with him and his buddies!!!" My dad said raising his voice.

"Dad please calm down everything will be alright. I'm fine see!" I said trying to calm him down before he made any rational decisions.

"No Morgan I'm not going to calm down! Do you know what could have happened to you?! Those boys could have taken advantage of your unconscious state! You could have been raped or even worst killed!!! You don't understand Morgan! I can't loose you! You're my baby and I love you so much and I don't know what I would have done if you were taken away from me." He said before bursting out crying.

"I'm sorry dad it's all my fault I shouldn't have snuck out." I said trying to reassure him.

"No it's my fault for not checking up on you earlier."

"Don't blame yourself for my actions dad. I love you and I don't want you to beat yourself up just because of something I did."

"Fine let's call it even we're both at fault." He said before giving me a huge hug.

"YES I GOT THAT ALL ON CAMERA!!!" Dad and I both jumped out of our seats.

At my door was none other than the man himself Mr. Taylor Caniff.
