Chapter 9

(3rd person pov)

Rebbeca got up to see Michael had already dressed and was on his phone, he laid next to her mumbling a good morning once he saw she was up. Rebbeca rubbed her eyes and sat up.
"What time is it" she softly spoke,
"6:00" Michael responded.

She got up and did her usual morning routine. It only took her half an hour and she spent the rest eating cereal with Michael, once they were done both of them said their goodbyes to Rebbeca's mother and went off to the bus.

Biology was extra boring for Rebbeca, she doodles on her notebook while the teacher talked nonsense about plant cells. There was an intercom interrupting the class, the teacher harshly shushed them wanting to hear the message.

"Attention all students, as you may have heard this morning in the news. A serial killer escaped from captivity and I want everyone to be careful out in the streets especially at night. Thank you and have safe day"

Rebbeca couldn't help but think of Ashton, could it have been him? How can a gorgeous blonde boy be a serial killer anyway? She shook her thoughts away knowing that it was just ridiculous.

"I was in my weights class when I heard the announcement, crazy shit huh" Michael said as he stuffed his face with his hamburger, Rebbeca sat with him outside on the football field bleachers. She nodded taking a sip from her water bottle, Michael nodded back.

"Do you think it was the reaper?" He asked, Rebbeca shrugged her shoulders.
"I don't know? Who cares it's not like he's gunna hide here that'd be stupid he'd get caught instantly" she said, Michael laughed.
"Well duh, he's already killed like 3 people and he did it all in one night! That dude is fucked up" he said, Rebbeca felt a shiver go down her spine. It scared her how he was roaming free in the streets, "he's kinda attractive for a murder" Rebbeca quietly spoke as she looked at her plaid black skirt, she began playing with the hem of it. Michael stared at her in disbelief but then smirked.

"Honestly he kinda is, he's got that beach boy vibe. I'm not gay I'm just complimenting his look that's it" he said making Rebbeca snicker.
