Chapter 30

Michael

I walked myself to the bleachers and stared at my shoes for a while thinking about Rebbeca. She was acting different, like her vibe seemed to switch and there was something she wasn't telling me. Or it's probably just me, I may be imagining things. Ever since Melanie I've felt different.
It was definitely me.

I went on my phone and unlocked it revealing a picture of Rebbeca and I as my home screen. I stared at her cute face, why can't I make a move already god damn. I feel like I've tried but maybe friends is all we're supposed to be, I shook my thoughts away and opened Instagram scrolling through memes. I felt a slump next to me and part of me hoped it was Rebbeca.

I looked up to see Melanie, her hair was curled today it looked cool. "I like your hair" I said, she smiled revealing her gap between her teeth. A feature I liked about her, it reminded me of Rebbeca's, although Rebbeca got her gap fixed in freshman year which bothered me for that entire day. But past is past. "Whatcha thinkin about" she said, I sighed "nothing, school is stressing me out" I said. Melaine took off her black nike jacket. She wore pink khaki pants with a black tube top, and some white air forces.
"School is eh for me, don't really try because I don't really care" she said, she began playing with her clear nails.

I threw my head back and closed my eyes as she kept talking her voice slowly drained away.

Ashton

I walked into my bathroom covered in blood and sat in my bathtub, I wanted to take a breather before I got rid of the body. Being a serial killer is such a workout especially if the person is heavy as hell. I got back up after my break and rinsed my face with water.

I walked back out and down the stairs to see Karen still dead on my floor in front of the main door, she thought that checking up on her neighbor would be a good idea since she hadn't heard of him in a week because I killed him and took over his house. I sighed and stuffed her body in a trash bag, I hid her in the back patio for now and began cleaning up the mess on the floor.

After I was done I spent an hour dragging her deep into the woods. I dug a hole and threw her in and covered her in dirt, leaves and twigs. I went on about my day deciding to stop by my hideout, I pulled up the entrance and jumped in. My Polaroid collection of Rebbeca came into view as I turned on the light, she was everywhere on my walls and I still couldn't get enough of her. I searched for my camera, I needed more pictures.

And I knew where her school was.

Rebbeca

I picked up Lauren from her fifth period and we both walked to lunch.
"So, this school is full of cute boys" Lauren said, I chuckled "I guess."

"Do you have a mans in your life right now" she teased, I blushed and looked at my checkered vans thinking about Ashton. "Oooh she blushing" Lauren sang, I playfully pushed her away. "It's definitely not Michael if your wondering" I defended, she laughed "I wasn't thinking that but it's interesting how Michael is the first person you thought about" she said, I clenched my jaw. Damn why is this girl making me feel differently about Michael. I rolled my eyes at her "whatever, I don't like him in that way. But I guess you could say I do have a mans and it's someone else" I said, she smirked.

"Who is it?" She asked, I blushed thinking about him "his name is Ashton and he's 25. We met at a park" I explained, Lauren looked like she was thinking about something. "That's cool, when did you guys start dating" she asked, I blushed even harder "um we went on a date the day after we met" I laughed nervously. She looked at me with a blank expression.
"So you mean, you met the guy. Then the next day you went out with him and then the next day you guys are in a relationship?" She asked, hearing it out loud kinda did sound a little weird but it didn't feel like that with Ashton.

"Kinda" I laughed, she nodded "wow that's fast, tell me your secrets. I wanna get a mans in three days" she joked. We arrived at our table that my friends were already at, "guys this is Lauren she's new and she'll be eating with us." I announced at my large table of friends.

There were a bunch of hello's and hi's coming from different people, Camila one of my best friends spoke up "Hey, I'm Camila there's too many people to introduce but the mains are Normani, Dinah, Ally, Austin and Justin." She said, Lauren waved hi to all of them and took her seat next to me. They all began talking w/one another and got to know Lauren. I began to zone out, was I too mean to Michael this morning? Was I even mean at all it felt like I was just me.

God this Jean skirt is so tight and my yellow tube top keeps slipping down, I played w/my gold necklaces. Why did I feel weird, It felt like as if someone was watching me. I turned to look everywhere to see if anyone was staring at me but no one was. Maybe I'm just nervous about my date with Ashton after school, CRAP He's picking me up after school. Michael will see his car, Michael will see Ashton. I needed to come up with a plan so they wouldn't see each other at all. I could purposely leave my water bottle at my sixth period which is all the way on the other side of the school from his sixth period and text Michael to grab it for me. It'll give me enough time to get in ash's car and when Michael walks back to the bus I'll be gone, he won't see Ashton, Ashton won't see him. Perfect.

I smirked to myself and didn't realize it.
"Woah, what's little miss Gomez thinking about" I heard my friend Austin say, I snapped out of my trance and looked at him.
"Nothing of your interest, Mahone" I sassed, he held his hands up in defense. "ok damn."
"Just because we're guys doesn't mean we won't understand" Justin jumped into our conversation, I playfully roll my eyes "it's confidentiality women stuff so back off Bieber" I got up and fixed myself.

"I'm going to the bathroom to do women stuff" I announced and walked away. "You mean pee" I heard Austin say behind me.

God this chapter was kinda cringe but whatever deal w/it
