Chapter 33

Mikey

I walked back to melaine, she seemed bothered but I didn't care enough to ask why. I sat back down and she pulled out her packet of cigarettes and offered me one, I shook my head "not in the mood" I said, she chuckled. "I thought you liked smoking." I shook my head "I thought I did too but I don't really like these" I said, she knew that I was lying but she didn't say anything. "I saw Rebbeca getting all cuddly with a guy back near the girls bathrooms" melaine suddenly said, I immediately looked at her with a studying expression. "Who?" I asked, I felt a pang of jealousy.

"I don't know, some brown haired kid, tan skin, earring on one ear, hangs around Justin Bieber a lot" she explained, I think I knew who it was. "His name is Austin and whoever Rebbeca messes with it's none of my business" I said as calmly as I could, but really I secretly wished I could punch a wall. "Whatever, just thought I'd let you know" she said. I really wished she hadn't told me that, I could've gone the rest of the day not knowing that and had been fine but now it's going to fucking bother me for the rest of the week. I took her packet of cigarettes and pulled one out "I thought you didn't like those" she smirked, I furrowed my eyebrows "I changed my mind" I said.

Rebbeca

It was five minutes just before sixth period was over, I sat in my history class bored out of my mind until I got a message from Ash.

Ash💓: Hey gorgeous, I'll pick you up in 5 minutes

I blushed and replied as I looked up the clock excitedly waiting.

Rebbeca: Okayy, I can't wait ❤️

I grinned at my phone and before I could type anything else the bell had rung, everyone including me rushed to put their stuff in their bags and ran out of the class. I slipped my backpack on and remembered to leave my water bottle on my table on 'accident' I walked away and quickly texted Mikey.

Rebbeca: Hey Mikey, I accidentally left my water bottle at my sixth could you maybe grab it for me pretty please! I'll make it up to you w/a pizza and movie night 💗

I hit send, and watched the three little bubbles appear on my screen.

Mikey💛: why r u dumb

I giggled as I read his message.

Rebbeca: bc I am, will you pick it up?? 🥺🥺

Mikey💛: you know I will

I walked outside of the school with a grin on my face because I could always count on Mikey. I saw the same Cadillac that Ashton drove parked outside of the pick up section of the parking lot. I smiled and waved at him as I approached the car and opened the passenger seat door. My heart fluttered as I saw Ashton, he smiled at me "Hey princess" he said, god his voice always sounded like silk. I got on and closed the door, I buckled up and we drove off.

"Did you do anything exciting today at school?" He asked, I slumped my shoulders "No, nothing of interest" I said, Ashton nodded. "Sooo... Where are you taking mee" I sang like a little kid, he looked over me while he grinned. "You'll see babygirl" he said. My phone went off and Ash glanced at it for a moment then back at the road. I looked at my notification.

Mikey💛: got ur water bottle
Mikey💛: that better be Costco pizza btw

I smiled down at my screen, staring at the messages. I felt a little butterfly fly around my stomach, I quickly turned off my phone and muted it once I realized that I Ash was beginning to keep looking at my phone.

"What's your favorite place to eat at" he asked me, I blushed only because I mostly ate at fast food restaurants usually with Mikey. I threw my head back and blushed even harder, "I've only ever eaten at fast food restaurants" I said embarrassed. He softly chuckled and rubbed my thigh, "it's alright baby, just tell me what you like" he said, I smiled at him "I like Chipotle" I burst out happily. Ashton nodded and soon we drove up and parked outside of chipotle.
"Stay here, I'll get us something" he said and I nodded.

Ash got out of the car and went into the restaurant, I sat there in silence for about a minute when my phone buzzed. I looked at it, it was a call from Mikey. I anticipated to answer, what if ash came back. I decided to quickly get the call over with and answer.
"Hey Mikey" I said.
"Hey, um where are you. I'd thought you'd be on the bus" he asked, I quickly panicked.
"I am at. A doctors appointment, my mom picked me up" I said trying to sound convincing hopefully I did.

There was a pause for a moment "Okay, I'll see you tomorrow I guess" he said, I nodded "Yea for sure" I replied, I saw Ashton walk out of the restaurant with a bag of food.
"Mikey gotta go, the dentist is about to see me" I quickly made up.
"I thought you said doct-" I ended the call and smiled at Ashton as he got back inside the car.

"Who was that" he asked, I waved it off "My annoying sister" I lied, holy hell there was so much lying in one day and it felt like I was sinning. Ashton began the car and drove us to a familiar park, I then remembered that it was the place where we first met.

We both got off and Ashton carried the food and a large soft blanket with him. I followed him to a nearby hill that faced the sunset. My heart began to race, "this is where we met" I grinned, he smiled at me. "How'd you know" he joked, I played with my hair "I just did, I'm that smart" I said playfully. He set up our picnic and gestured me to sit down.

While we ate, we talked the most random and funniest things ever. Ashton finished before me, for a fit guy he ate a lot. After I was finished I laid down next to him and both of us stared at the sky.

I scooted closer to him every minute and soon he pulled me close to him, my head on his arm and my hand on his chest, our legs tangled up with each other's. He began to play with my hair.
