Surprises never cease

I stood there gaping at what the intern just said to me in shock. While he just moved quietly away from me and went back to the front of the class.

“Thank you for that Jessacob. Please take a seat.” He chuckled lightly.

‘Lenny.’ I told him through our link sitting in my desk.

‘Yea Jess.’ he answered back.

‘The basterd knows!’

‘Knows what?’ he asked worried.

‘What I am.’ I said paling. ‘The real question is what and who he is.’

‘Aww man are you serious. I wanted to take his ass in a hotel an-’

‘Lenny!’

‘Right. Right. Maybe he’s a good guy?’ he asked hopefully. While took a quick glance to glare at him. ‘Sorry I’m just trying to be the hopeful optimist.’

‘Well quit it. Just be cautious around him. I don’t like the looks of this.’

‘Yes sir.’ He said before taking a disappointed sigh.

‘Get over it.’ I said ending the conversation. At that same moment the bell rang making me bolt out of my seat to make a run for it.

“Just a second Mr. Fairwar.” Mr. Fain said making me freeze on the spot. “I would like to see you and Mr. Lenard for a second.”

“Yes sir.” I said involuntary and made my way to his desk with Lenny at my side being cautious as I told him to. Smart boy. We stood there until the last person had left the room, leaving us in an empty classroom with this guy.

“So Jessacob-’’ he started while I cut him off.

“It’s Jess.” I said with disdain in my voice.

“Alright. Jess. I don’t want you or you.” He said looking from me to Lenny. “To think I’m here to cause any trouble for you. If I did, I wouldn’t have let you know that I know what you are Jess. To be honest, I just wanted to meet you, not cause any trouble for you.”

“What are you?” I said still not letting  my guard down one second.
