“Mark me.” I whispered in his ear.

“J-Jess.” he said trying to pull away, but I kept a tight grip on his shoulder as I trailed my kiss down his neck.

“If you won’t. Your wolf will. And I’ll make sure of that.” I said as I slipped my hand under his shirt. This caused a soft growl to come from him as I pulled away to see his eye color fought from green to blue and blue to green.

“I.. don’t-”

“But I do.” I said bringing the arm under his shirt higher to brush against his right nipple as I felt his rising pulse under my palm.

“Jess.” he said pulling the collar of my shirt so I could get eye contact with his. “I don’t care that I’m getting weaker. I don’t care my impatient wolf wants you. I don’t care that I’m literally dying. I care about you. I care that this is your first time. I care that you’ll want to do something like this with someone you love and I love you too much to waste that.” He finished breathing heavily with having me this close.

My eyes widened at what he had just confess as I slid my hand back from under his shirt to look at the sincerity in his now solid green eyes. This was him. Not his wolf. Here was a guy that used to only care about himself and was practically dying for not mating with me on time, but refused to do it because he cared about what I thought. What I wanted when I just wanted to save him from hurting. Here was a guy that went through the trouble of letting my family and I to move into his pack for protection, because he cares. Here was a guy that just told me…

“Say it again.” I said before I could stop myself. He smiled softly knowing exactly what I meant.

“I love you.” He said. “That’s why I’m willing to wait for you.” He finished taking a few steps back as if it hurt being near me, but I wouldn’t have it as I tackled him on the king sized bed.

“J-Jess!” he said as I used every strength I could muster to keep him under me as he tried to get me off. He really was getting weaker if I could do this to him. “Get off! You don’t want this-”

“Yes I do!” I said making eye contact with him as he froze in place. The blue was now flashing in his eyes signaling his wolf’s presence.
