Neji and Tenten

A/N- Hey guys this update is later than I expected but that's because I started another book. I have a huge case of writers block so forgive me if it's crappy. Anyways onward to the chapter.

Dear Chidara,

How are things in the Sand Village? Is Kankuro still treating Kirika well and not totally perverted? In Konoha, most of the couples sre making progress. Sasuke and Sakura as well as Naruto and Hinata have been going on more dates. Kiba and Yumi also went out a couple of times. Aria and Shino go everywhere together. Misaki and Lee are always training together while Kaya and Choji are frequently seen eating together. However, Neji and Tenten have made no progress, neither have Sai and Ino. I'm trying my best to work on them but it would be easier if you were here. No need to worry you though, I'll try my best. Remember to call me when you start planning the wedding. Your future sister-in-law.

~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~  ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~       I packaged the letter and took it to the Hokage's office to get it sent. After leaving, I went to look for Hinata or Sakura. Shikamaru's team were on a mission so I was bored beyond compare. I heard sniffling at a nearby tree. I went over there and behind it was Tenten crying.

" Tenten, are you-, no,why are you crying?" I asked. I think it's really stupid to ask someone if they're okay when it's clear that they're not.

" It's ok" she said while wiping her eyes and looking up with a sad expression. Tenten as I've heard, is not one to cry for nothing.

" I know you don't cry for nothing" I said while sitting down beside her, " Tell me what's wrong"

" Neji has been avoiding me ever since we came back from the hot spring. Things were fine when we were there but now.." she sighed, " He doesn't even come to training when I'm there. If he's there first, when I come, he leaves"

As she explained the rest to me I understood what was happening. He was afraid of getting close to her. He can no longer deny his feelings, so he's trying to avoid talking to or seeing her. I need to talk to him.

" How about we go have some ramen to cheer you up" I said while smiling. She nodded and I helped her up. We went to the ramen shop and guess who was there. Neji.

Neji's pov

I sat in Ichiraku's waiting for Lee to appear. He was supposed to meet me hear but he's late. Suddenly in came the one person I didn't want to see. As soon as she came in I got up and left. I felt someones presence behind and looked around to see Temari.

" What do you want?" I asked.

" Running away from her is not gonna stop your feelings. You should just tell her, I know for a fact that she returns them. She was crying earlier because your avoiding her and it hurts. Do the right thing Neji." she said and walked away leaving me shocked. She returns my feelings. Well it's probably too late now since she was crying, but I still have to try. I walked back there and asked Tenten to follow me. From the corner of my eye, I could see Temari giving me a thumbs up.

" I'm glad you stopped avoiding me" she said when we stopped walking.

" I'm sorry. I didn't mean to make you feel bad, it's just that, it made me nervous seeing you" I said.

"Why would it make you nervous?" she asked.

"Because I like you and I couldn't face it. I tried not to see you but that just made me think about you even more." I admitted.

I felt a hug from behind.

" Why didn't you just say that from day one dummy. I was worried that you hate me" sh said with her head buried in my back. I turned around and hugged her.

" I could never hate you" I said. She took my hand.

"We should get back, Temari must be lonely and for the record I like you too" she said.

"I know" I said and she just laughed.
