Johnny POV
It was the morning after everything had happened at the beach. And I couldn't keep my mind off of Kenzie. Her hair, her eyes, her lips...

It was as if I was in love with her, which is hilarious. I could never, would never, and will never be in love with Kenz.

I needed to take my mind off of Kenzie so I texted Hayden and Carson.

Me: Hey, u guys want to meet up
Carson: Yeahhh
Hayden: Where?
Carson: We could go to that new restaurant across town.
Me: yeah cool.
Hayden: ok, see you guys in an hour.

I put my phone down and sighed. Maybe this would help my heart stop beating so fast when I thought of kenz. Or maybe it would just make it worse.

Mackenzie POV

"Brynn come on it was no big deal."

"Are you serious! It was like one of those kisses from movies where it was underwater. It was like Romeo and Juliet!"

I shake my head at Brynn. We were currently waiting for Annie to stop by my house so we could figure out what to do.

"Can we just forget about him and the stupid kiss." I ask. It was all she had been talking about and I didn't need that right now.

"Fine, fine. Does Annie know?"

I give her a stern look before answering.

"No she doesn't and I'd like to keep it that way."

"What? Why?"

"Annie cannot lie. If I tell her what happened, she would tell Hayden and Hayden Carson and it would just be a mess."

"Ok I see but you will have to tell her sometime."

"I know"

There was a pause before Brynn spoke again.

"Ok no more boy talk. See Annie's here."

I nod and walk over to Annie. She apologizes for being so late before she holds up a bottle of champagne.

" Let's get buzzed and go to the new diner around town."

I nod and grab the bottle. This is exactly what I need. A distraction.
