Mackenzie POV
I drank the entire bottle of champagne within 20 minutes. I felt better. A lot better than I was before. And I wasn't just buzzed, I was full on drunk. I was laughing and feeling bubbly until we got to our final destination.
The Happy place.
It was a club across town that was super popular. It had the highest ratings and was always busy. Day and night.
I stumbled across the walkway with Brynn by my side. She didn't seem as drunk as me but she was definitely not sober.
" This place is amazing!" She yells as we walk inside. The music blasts our ears and I take in everything.
"I can't believe we've never come here before." I slurred as we started dancing. This was going to be a fun day, and who knows, maybe it'll be a fun night too.
I had completely forgot about Johnny, and our kiss. My mind was only focused on dancing... and the guy in front of me.
He was tall, green eyed, and light brown hair. He looked familiar, so familiar that I danced up to him.
We danced and danced together for what seemed like hours until the stranger dragged me away. He led me to a dark corner in the room and leaned his head down to mine. Our lips were touching and moving across each other's.
"Johnny..." I moaned and he stopped kissing. The guy looked at me, like he was looking at me for the first time that night. He pushed me away and asked.
"Kenzie?"
His expression was a mixture of confusion and excitement. I couldn't tell which one was dominant.
The only thing I know is that I just made out with Johnny Orlando... again, and I liked it.
Johnny POV
We came to the Happy Place to get my mind off of Kenzie. I ended up making out with her in a corner instead.
It wasn't completely my fault. I mean I drank a lot. I'm guessing Kenzie did too.
I look into her eyes. I can tell she's confused and scared but there's a hint of something I can't make out.
" What are you doing here?" She asks. Her face is all red. It makes her look even cuter.
" I came with Carson and Hayden"
" I... how did we... did we-"
" Kenzie I want you." I say, interrupting her. Her face gets even redder but before she can say anything I smash my lips against hers once more. This time we both don't pull away.
Whether it was the drinks or my heart, I wanted Kenzie. I liked her and it was the first time I finally realized it.
