Background: Lee Shinyoung, born with the english name Alicia, was born in Melbourne, Australia. Her mother's side of the family was Chinese, making her half Chinese which also resulted in her having the ability to fluently speak Chinese. While her father's side of the family, were Korean which was why she was half Korean too. But despite this, could still speak English fluently because she lived in an english-speaking country/community. She moved to Korea at the age of 5. At that time, she had shown no interest in anything related to the performing arts. However, when she turned 7, she discovered the world of kpop. Ever since then, she started training and joining competitions.
