"Shane, are you sure all your friends will like me? i mean, i don't really fit in, at all, with anyone." i said as i was waiting for my plane to board, i've been friends with Shane forever, we used to actually grew up together, but I moved when we started middle school. I wished we could have stayed in touch, but we recently started talking again about a year after high school ended, and finally after about six months, he convinced me to come live in LA. In elementary school we were such good friends, he always had more friends than me, I don't really have friends anymore. All but Shane left. I would consider Ryland a friend, but I've only met him once on video chat. Morgan is pretty chill, we've texted a couple times.

"Are you sure you want to do this, Astrid?" my mom lectured. "do you have a place to stay before you are able to get an apartment?" I sighed as I packed, my mom always was on my back about everything. "yes mother, Morgan moved to the house next door so her room is open for me to use however long i need to, Shane already told me i could." my mom huffed. "well i'm not picking up the pieces when you want to come home."

"Yes, Astrid, you'll be fine. I promise. Everyone here will love you."

"Flight 410 now boarding, again, Flight 410 is boarding now"

"Shane, I'm boarding now, I'll see you in a few hours."

"bye i love you Astrid, stop worrying."

"Love you too."

I hung up the phone, grabbed my 'carry on' backpack, and walked to the little desk in front of the boarding place. I handed the ticket woman my ticket, and walked down the hall and sat in the designated seat I was assigned to.

A few hours later I landed in LA, and when I got service back, I got the ding of a text message.

shane dogson: "welcome to la! right outside the hall opening thing..see you soon!"

i smiled and grabbed my backpack and slid it on my back, rubbing my eyes, i didn't get much sleep last night because my mom was yelling at me about moving away from her. i don't regret leaving. i don't think i'll miss her much.

"ASTRIDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDD" I heard Shane yell at me and i turned around, smiling.
"ohmygoshSHANE" i yelled and hugged him tight, "you look SO good Shane!"

He smiled at me and laughed. "ME? Look at you! you look great!" I smiled at him and yawned, giggling. "Sorry, didn't sleep well last night.." i decided in a quick second that I didn't need to bother him with my problems "too excited."

"That's okay! You can sleep on Garrett!" He smiled and laughed, snorting. "Who's that?" I waved at Andrew, his camera man, and started looking around for everyone else. Me and Andrew have texted before too, to see if i'm okay to film videos and to make sure i'm comfortable with everything. "He's only the gayest person you'll ever meet!" Andrew laughed.

"OHMYGOSHTHISMUSTBEASTRID." I heard a voice yell and heard a giggle. A man came up to us, with open arms and a big smile, his unshaven face and circular glasses made him look adorably dorky, and he was wearing a beige-brown coat, and was wearing a black shirt tucked into black jeans.
"Astrid, he yells a lot, by the way." Shane laughed and he looked concerned and Garrett's smile faded a little.
"No it's okay! I like hugs!" I smiled and laughed, hugging Garrett, inhaling his scent immediately. He smells great.

"OKAY well let's go home, you have to see Ryland and Morgan! Then we start filming your *makeover*" Shane dramatically twirled and started to walk off, I didn't want Garrett to let me go, he was very tall, and me only being 5'0, his tall figure comforted me, but I dealt with it as we parted and began walking to the airport exit
